[pics] Brett Favre's Ankle & Hamstring day after NFC championship game

you should have seen warner's chest after his last game.
YouTube - Kurt Warner Gets Hit against the Saints 2010 playoffs

I think that hit played a huge roll on his retirement. Kurt was a childhood hero of mine, the Rams were my favorite team growing up. That 99' season was great.
Greatest show on turf! Thanks to kurt for all the great years of amazing football, and i hope he gets in the HOF.

back on topic

Those are some nasty bruises. Favre is a serious Iron Man, he has never missed a game in his career. He is one of the toughest in the business, and i think if he can still play like he does - he oughta go for another year.

well said and I hope he will hang on for one more year...

The script dident call for them to win, that was the Sacrifice the vikings had to made. In the sudden death over time, the Saints winning field goal repersented the Vikings returing to Valhalla to rest agian, as they are Viking warriors.

They saw all the connections, but they didn't see the correct spelling of "launch."

That last play by Farve could be "his ego" or it could of been him coming to terms with exactly how badly injured he was when he was lying on the side lines getting treated, Maybe he was looking for a good way "out" of the game as the guy just knows too much about football to make such a noob decision in such crucial playoff game. This wasnt a reg season game or even a first round playoff game this was very crucial and to think the guy didnt know any better of what to do on that last place leads me to think 2 things. He has NO BRAINS or he was "looking for an excuse to end the pain early?

Maybe he was put in a tough spot by the refs when they didn't call a penalty on the play that hurt his ankle? The player was fined 20K by the league and issued a statement that there should have been a 15 yard personal foul called.

alll farve had to do was fall down on the last play and they win- but that doesn't make as big of a headline as Farve win the game with his arm.
Maybe its karma for running up the score on dallas.
he threw another touchdown at the end of that game when running the ball would have been standard procedure on running the clock out.

Eh. I don't believe in the "running up the score" thing. I understand there are standard play sets you run when you're ahead and you're just waiting it out, but that's just a guideline. At some point, a defense has to stop whining "but maaaaaa! The quarterback THREW the ball! No fair!" y'know?

Brett Favre's going to be reliving that little snippet of time over and over again for a very long time. I don't think he wants that to be his last play, but he's running out of comeback tickets. That is the way things shake up. People love him when he throws those passes and they connect, but people hate him when he lacks the vision to see he could just tiptoe forward and set up the winning kick. (I almost typed Green Bay... hilarious) Minnesota has a great kicker, and even if he somehow managed to miss, all that would do is send it into overtime anyways. Of course, then people would have said "but Brett Favre should have thrown! He doesn't get paid the big bucks to slide!" and you know it :D

there was a 1998 tv show(Smart Guy) who's episode on 1/21/1998 CORRECTLY predicted the TWO Super Bowl representatives that are playing on 2/7 in Miami(Saints and Colts).

What I found odd about this episode is that it's been EXACTLY 4400 days from this air date TO 2/07(the date the SB is to be played. My point here is that the number 44 is an Illuminati number - 44 /4 = 4 11's(which stand for 4 words - disorganized, forgot the other 3 words). And to boot, this is the *44*th SB to be played, while we're under our *44*th President. On top of that, the score at halftime in the show was a 54-3 BLOWOUT score

Giants vs Patriots, Giants won that Superbowl taking the Patriots perfect dream season away.

The word Nephilim itself unclear; the obvious root N-F-L would imply they are "fallen ones," that is, fallen angels. The Septuagint (Greek translation of the Torah, from about 200 BC) translates Nephilim as "giants," likely based on the reference in Numbers 13:33 (see below) that Nephilim were "of great size." Thus, the term is commonly translated as giants or heroes.

You and weatherbill should hang out.

Just... don't find a way to have babies :D

Falling down at the line of scrimmage and kicking a 57 yard field goal?

Screw Dallas. Handing the ball off with the Vikings seems to be more dangerous than passing as far as turnovers go.

He is being a little melodramatic, but if you watch the last play Favre had at least seven yards to gain and a clear shot at the sideline. I believe they had an extra time out, to boot. Their kicker is not a shabby one, either, and routinely hits kicks that long in practice. It was not a bad idea to simply jockey for field position, and give the kick a try. With his leg, the kicker would have kicked it out of the endzone even if he missed. If he missed, they would have just ended up in OT. As I said earlier, we'd just be hearing "Favre should have thrown it!" if that had been the case and they lost in OT anyhow :p

Well What ever we "think" Farvre should of done he alteast earned my Respect this year and even in that game when he was cleary injured enough to be yanked he wanted to play through the pain and not let all the vikings fans down who counted on him to finish the game.

I felt so bad for his wife in the stands watching her husband getting injured and then throwing caution to the wind. If he would of got sacked and some one landed on his leg that would of been a major travesty.

The one thing about farvre you have to remember is he had more "power" then the coach in decision making just think to the weeks prior to that game where everyone was talking about his spat with the coach over play calls LOL!!! Farvre decides what to do and the vikings coach was nothing more then a bitch in that sense and that is no good for the team. Not to mention the fact that the coach actually left in the middle of a vikings practice to go pick up farve at the airport LOL!!! If that doesnt say enough right there I dont know what does. Even some husbands dont leave in the middle of something to go pick there wives up at the airport and this guy leaves a whole team during his practice LOL!!! Right when I heared about that I knew the vikings were not going to win the Super Bowl . Bottom line comes down to Respect does the coach of the vikies have the same amount of Respect for his players as he did for Farve? Hell no thats obvious from him leaving a practice,So if you think about it maybe Farve lineman didnt really care to do enough to protect him when he really needed it. To go on and win a Superbowl takes more then 1 man and just imagine who would of grabbed all the spotlight if the vikings did that ? I Respect the hell out of Farvre as I said before but as for the Vikings coach that guy is a grade a LOSER and doesnt put his team first when it comes down to it.
