Phone blitz is ON!!!

Somethings that were said by jeff_from_VA and others have been haunting me for a while. Specifically, there were comments stating that an organized barrage of phone calls intending to tie up Fox's phones was "illegal" and "improper". "How could we suggest such a crazy action?"

I just viewed the video posted in this section of the forum about Ralph Nader's exclusion from a Fox debate. The goons from Fox and the Debate Commission had the balls and the horsepower to misuse the State Police to threaten Nader with arrest if he tried to enter the debate even though he had a ticket. The cop treated Nader like he was a common criminal.

I challenge anyone to view that video and then tell us that our intended actions are "over the top". It is time to wake up to the reality that our electoral process - the process that is the keystone to a free society - has been compromised. Without a free election, totalitarianism is inevitable. Its also time to wake up and accept the fact that the clock is ticking. The Ron Paul candidacy is the best chance, and may be our last chance, to save our Republic from demise. Four more years of hyper-inflation of the dollar, imperialistic foreign policy, erosion of our rights to privacy, and the exponential growth of socialism are sure to destroy that which so many have given so much to preserve. Considering the sacrifices that so many have made for our freedom, supporting a phone blitz against Fox is a very small thing to ask.

Using last month's casualty count (41 American soldiers dead) as a monthly average, four more years in Iraq will take almost 2,000 more soldiers' lives.

In view of all of this, I have no respect for the "candy asses" who are too afraid to make phone calls because of some remote chance that such action could be construed as "illegal". I risked a Hell of a lot more when I served in the Air Force.

To be fair to Fox it was the debate commision that excluded Nader. Fox actually invited him for an interview.

perfect timing my cell plan has 1400 minutes and new month is 1-3 :D

I will try to use the 632 I have left, don't know if I can use 10 hours though......

Is there a compilation post of fax numbers that I missed somewhere on here?

The FCC Club

I received the below message in an email today. I checked it out and it seems to be correct. Overall, I support the idea that shane2 posted in these forums; however this is good info that I wanted to share with you all.

I'm actually surprised that I haven't seen this tactic posted yet. Along with advertisers, this is the other major weakness of broadcasters/networks.

The other critical items we can influence directly are the FCC broadcast license for each affiliate, and FCC approval for station purchases/mergers/trades. By specifically targeting FCC approvals, your comments will have a LOT more long-term weight. Endangering the local affiliate's license with enough negative comments in the right way will change their attitude from "It's the network, nothing we can do" and largely ignoring you to actually calling the NewsCorp on your behalf saying "OMG, fix this NOW!"

Remember, the FCC threatened to hit EACH broadcast station with a 6-figure fine for the half-second "wardrobe malfunction" at the SuperBowl*.

Key trigger phrases:

"FCC Public File"
"Not acting in the public interest"

1) At the beginning of EACH email or FAX to an affiliate (actual broadcaster, not the network) ask that the comment be placed in their "FCC Public File." They are required to comply with your request.

This "Public File" is reviewed by the FCC each time that station's license is up for renewal. Not getting a license renewed means the station is worthless.

Give your opinion that the broadcaster is "Not acting in the public interest" and give detailed reasoning.

We can specifically start slamming each affiliate under the FCC "Equal Time Rule."

2) Comment to the FCC directly on media ownership:

...and make sure to comment how NewsCorp is "acting against the public interest."

*This was later reduced to only hitting the direct-owned stations. Other events such as the "Without a Trace" teen orgy did fine affiliates directly at 5 figures.

I left TomTX as the author so I wouldn’t plagiarize his ideas. This is a beautiful way to slam stations that only give half-truths or support administration policies that are plainly against the interest or constitution of the nation.

This is the club we have been looking for, use it!

The following is an example of a message to an affiliate broadcasting station;

Request this communication be placed in your station “Public File.”

It is inconceivable that a major political “debate” include Rudy Giuliani, Mike Huckabee, John McCain, Mitt Romney and Fred Thompson but exclude the true frontrunner Dr. Ron Paul.

Every one of those “gentlemen” are bankrupt, either monetarily or morally with the shining exception of Dr. Paul. It is impossible to poll high numbers when the polls are rigged and exclude the one person leading the pack in contributions raised, meet-up groups and volunteers on the ground.

Omission of Dr. Paul is definitely against the public interest, right to know and any semblance of fair play.

I sent the above to the Fox channel in Dallas. These stations don’t have direct email addresses so use their “Contact Us” online form. If enough of us submit this type message, it puts their license in jeopardy and they will be screaming at the network to straighten it out.

Believe me, their screaming outweighs ours 100 to 1.

Since ABC is in bed with Fox on this “debate,” their affiliate stations should receive the same treatment.

Whining to FOX about their own crime is pointless. They don't give a f**k what you have to say.

Could this not be anymore obvious?
And do we really need to give them more ammo to say how "crazy" we are?

This is not about whining - it's about firm and consistent pressure until they invite Dr. Paul. We won't stop... Our voices should become so loud that the lost productivity due to our protest costs Fox News millions of dollars.

Both of these numbers gave me a person, both times I called. They are referring me to NH GOP, and don't give me a chance to tell them about the NH GOP press release. Call the crap out of these numbers!

Holy crap this is like a real-world DDOS attack. Those poor bastards must be terrified.

And don't worry about being thought of as crazy. This is no more crazy than dressing up as indians and throwing tea in Boston harbor.

I still havn't done anything...but if Ron is not invited by the time I wake up tomorrow...I will participate in this phone blitz

I'll be dialing as much as possible over the next 24 hours.
