Bitcoin IS very risky. When i owned some like 9 years ago (when it was $8!!!) I used online wallets to store them. However they disappeared over time and so its not much of a good idea. i cashed them out before they went down so I guess I got lucky.

Gold has performed well better than silver and will do in the near term so buy gold instead

I hate to blame the victim but Schiff was an idiot to not have a backup. Of course there are a variety of services that may be able to recover a corrupted wallet. Also Warlord trusting unknown people to store something of value for you was risky behavior. Very easily you could have controlled your own bitcoin in your own wallet and had lots of backups. You can even print out a paper wallet, send to that, store copies of that in a safety deposit, engrave it in metal, lots of ways to ensure you don't have just one copy of your Bitcoin.

Crypto gives the usre control of their assets. It is very easy to back it up, just don't forget your passwords. If you leave it in the care of someone else then you had better be sure you can trust it in their care.
