Peter, Rand and Ron!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It is OK if you guys say "the price of cell phones, plasma TVs and computers keeps going down," but you guys need to follow that up with "just like the price of plastic surgery, lasik, and boob jobs goes down." Point out that medical costs go down where there is ZERO government involvement.
Yeah, he used to talk about that a lot, but lately he's stuck to his "cell phones, plasma tv's" thing.
Probably because not everyone can relate to lasik or breast enhancement surgery but knows about how consumer electronics that are more universally desired have fallen in price. If pressured for a specific medical example then I'm sure Peter can use elective out-of-pocket procedures such as lasik, breast enhancement, or even orthodontistry as good examples of having stable costs.
From what I found online, Lasik surgeries started in the 90's & cost around $5,000 per
eye. Today it costs between $1,800 - $2,400 for both eyes. It's also safer & the
techniques & technology have improved. That's completely from the free market working
without government intervention. Cataracts surgery on the other hand costs the same
no matter where in the country you go because of government intervention. It wouldn't
even matter if the amount of eye surgeons doubled overnight, the price would still be
the same.

Oh, I know he could because he is the one that first put me on to that.
I see these advertisements around my house saying Lasik eye surgery $799.
I dont see why it's so hard for people to grasp on to.
