Peter King: "Rand Paul doesn't belong in the GOP"

I think foreign policy , NSA and TSA would trump abortion. with the GOP the base wants war so badly, and I don't see any way around it.

The GOP only wants war because Fox News tells them that liberals don't like war. And the only reason the Democrats were so against the PATRIOT Act and the Iraq War 10 years ago was because it was Bush who doing it. There was a rising non-interventionist wing of the GOP that was very powerful right up until 9/11. Look at George Bush's foreign policy statements in 2000.

it was foreign policy that caused Obama to beat Hillary; and it was foreign policy that forced LBJ out.

Only because they have the same or similar views on the other issues. I'm telling you right now they wouldn't elect a pro-life candidate. Can you even name a major Democrat that is pro-life?

He plays in the duopolistic system because sheeple and the duopoly don't want any different.

Obama beat Hillary Clinton because race trumped gender in the minds of Democratic primary voters. If you doubt this, talk to some.

Regarding LBJ, the mainstream media is not going to put foreign policy above the rest of the "progressive" agenda. The MSM calls the shots with few exceptions, they just thought differently in the 1960s vs. today.

There's still an anti-war sentiment in the Dem party. That's why Obama keeps playing up his "ending the War in Iraq", going to great lengths to hide problems in the ME, and bending over backwards to make a deal with Iran. That's also why Code Pink is still interrupting Senate hearings.

That last full line makes me a bit uncomfortable. I understand he's playing the game. But, when are we going to have a candidate get up there and tell the voters openly that America is the most murderous country on the planet (both abortion and foreign policy), that our flag is an idol, that it probably quite frankly deserves to be burned, and that America needs national repentance.

Because that's what I would do if I were a political candidate. I hate the game.

^ C'mon, man. Anyone who said that would instantly be labeled an America-hater (maybe even investigated as a domestic terrorist) and wouldn't get anywhere near the White House.

I know. I just hate the idolatry that Rand has to pander to in order to get elected. This is more theological for me than political (though its both.) Rand is trying hard to get elected, but he's letting Americans who worship their flag feel comfortable with where they are at. The "flag" under which 50+ million babies are murdered n the womb every year. The "flag" which stands for the "freedom" to butcher babies, blaspheme God, worship idols, and engage in open perversion, but precious little else. Not freedom to do what you wish with your income. No freedom to save the unborn babies that are being butchered in plain sight. No medical freedom. No freedom to refuse to register with the military. No freedom from being spied on by the State. No freedom to get on an airplane without being groped on. No freedom from extortionist traffic cops. I could go on and on. I'd sooner light a flag ablaze than ever consider pledging one. And, I'm no liberal. I'm an ultra-conservative Christian, and not even really "libertarian".

Never. Not sure what positive you would see in saying that.
