performance

I thought RP didn't hit the mark in the first part but wisely laid low while the others made complete, petty asses of themselves and then ended up looking like the most mature and gentlemanly of all the candidates in the end. But then again, I'm biased.

a few good moments for sure, but alot of time wasted by just sitting at his desk and doodling.

I thought it was one of his best, why the hell are people getting me depressed by saying it's one of the worst? He even made a joke! :)

Paul did terribly on Islamofascism. No offense to him but he knows far much more than he let on. He used very little good evidence to back up his points and should have referenced experts (ie Scheuer/Pape). Oh well. Most other candidates did terribly as well (Huckabee did alright) and RP came off as looking different.

Ron got absolutely hammered. He did poorly on the "islamofascism" issue, and he REALLY did poorly on the healthcare question.

Monetary policy and healthcare?? Wasn't even relevant. Sure, monetarism in general causes inflation in all areas, but Ron did a poor job making the tie and focused solely on the monetary issue. That left the door open for Thompson to belittle and ridicule him.

He did better with the immigration and oil issues, but I am guessing people had already tuned him out by then if they were unimpressed with the foreign policy debacle. Too little, too late.

We gained nothing and probably lost ground with this debate. He became flustered when they all attacked and laughed at him, and did not look the presidential part one bit.

With regard to the other thugs (er, candidates): Giuliani, Romney, Thompson and McCain are PUNKS and THUGS. They are absolutely disgusting. At least Huckabee showed a little bit of decorum. Romney is so arrogant and smug it defies belief.

<<< sigh >>>

TOTALLY disagree.
BEST debate format, 9.5/10.

You're absolutely right! Ron Paul is not a clever, witty, articulate politician like his opponents.

But he is genuine.

Take your pick.

For those of you complaining about the foreign policy part -- what were you expecting?! He was outnumbered 5-1 and Romney and Giuliani and the others would barely let him finish a freaking sentence!

He did get the last word on that subject though, and I think most objective people thought he held his own well as possible and was the only reasonable person on the stage.

I think it was his best debate.
probably not because of him but because of the format. he didn't need to interrupt others to get airtime today.

I totally agree! Everyone was ganging up on him and the moderator did nothing to control them.

Charlie Gibson was a piss-poor moderator, and he allowed the other candidates to gang up on Paul. The attack was coordinated, in my opinion. Paul was on message, as he always is.

I love how just because someone has criticism they are a troll. I honestly don't think he did very well tonight. I agree with ChickenHawk tonight the war killed him. Although he did do well on immigration.

Agree on the healthcare question. He tried to fit his entire platform into that one answer. Even I was like 'huh?' at the end...

Just saw on ABC that Facebook posters wanted to hear more on the Economy. Who addressed economic issues multiple times in the debate while everyone else was talking about Islamofascism and their definition of amnesty? ding ding ding ding.

So what is the author to do?

Go change his vote to Guiliani?

I'm tired of seeing this negative bs....

Ron Paul will, no matter what, will have my vote.

Get the f*ck out troll.

He did a good job, could have nailed health care better. Islamofascism question he wasn't able to rebut Romney and some others as they hogged all the time.
