I'll edit this post and post an updated list at the end of the thread if you guys add anyone--unless someone beats me to it.

HOW TWITTER WORKS:
If you don't yet have a twitter: Sign up, go to the **'s profile, click the gear, click mention **, and type your message to them!

Short, Simple, and Specific:
Our messages should be short and simple (they'll get lots messages), but most importantly,
BE SPECIFIC- Don't send the same e-mail to the same person. Tailor it for the person you're sending it to.

Motivate them to do more than just endorse Ron Paul on twitter. Get on the news, speak about why you're voting for Ron Paul! Change is possible in 2012! We just have to work together and put in the manpower.

Foo Fighters. I know Dave Grohl is libertarian and rumor has it he was a closet RP supporter. Dunno if it's true but a lot Of his lyrics are political and against Facist type governments like ours. Check out "The Pretender".

I see your point, but I disagree. It's not like we're calling their cell or even using their personal e-mail.

I see it from this perspective:
They are used to getting bombarded with fan mail. Most of which they disregard. Maybe they look through it once in a while when they feel like it.
But on May 5-6, some staffer lets them know that they've been getting thousands of e-mails and/or calls, urging them to support Ron Paul for these reasons *insert relevant reasons/youtube videos here*.

And then, if all goes well, they will realize that because of their popularity, they could get Ron Paul thousands of votes with minimal effort, and they will be inspired to do so. At the very least, they will be more curious about what Ron Paul is all about.

I'd like to get more feedback. If you guys really think it will make us look bad, I'll drop it. But right now, I think it's a really good idea. What do you think?

The Pretender has always been my favorite Foo Fighters song. Good stuff. Never thought of it as libertarian, but I see what you mean.

I like this thread. If we can continually update the first post with the information of potential endorsements we could really make that "Endorsement Bomb" over the next few months.

It's Time,

Remember that video where Ron is being interviewed, and the reporter is like (paraphrasing, cause I couldn't find the clip) "I have to say, we've never received as many e-mails when we have someone on your show, as we did for you." I thought that was awesome. It makes RP's supporters look passionate and enthusiastic. The reporter wasn't complaining about the e-mails.

I don't know about Dave, but Krist Novoselic, the bassist from Nirvana endorsed RP last time around.

Drew Carey donated to his campaign in 08.

Instead of wasting money on a blimp I think it may be better to spend money on celebrities to
make a commercial about why they are going to vote for Ron Paul. Then put the commercial
on Ron Paul's 2012 website. Local meetup groups can download the video & then raise money
on a local level to pay to have it played in local media outlets.

Trickle down advertising. ;)

You could get an endorsement at the Copacabana...where music and passion were always the fashion.

That would be amazing!

We also need to go after Bubba the love sponge and Howard stern again. Both of them are politically aligned with Paul and have very fervent supporters. Beyond that Joe Rogan and Adam Carolla are also extremely positive towards Ron Paul. If we got all 4 of them all in early they could sway a ton of people.

Also not to be a grammar nazi but it is "write" a song not right.

I don't think it's a good idea to coordinate and post specific addresses to mail to, personally. I think it's a good idea to make a thread telling us the idea, encouraging us to do the same, and possibly who you contacted. I think we should all consider focusing time on people who are most likely to be able to convince others by their status or position. But each of us comes from a different perspective and has different contacts. So I think it gets spread better with individual effort than coordinated action.

There are folks that would get a kick out of getting a ton of emails all of a sudden, in the right spot it's a good idea. But for most people, even celebrities, that would only take a dozen or a couple dozen people to get the point across.
