Peden: "RP voted against shortening wait period to buy firearms"

Peden is just another neocon hack in the Bush/Rove tradition.

If you want to stop this guy, give to Ron's congressional campaign- money spent in Texas on his congressional campaign has a double impact- it helps him stay in congress and helps him in the upcoming Republican primary in Texas.

I certainly hope and pray that the 14th district has a plan for a good replacement lined up.

Congressman Paul has shocked and angered alot of people in the GOP with his vote to support democrats in their efforts to wage a "slow bleed" attack against our Commander In Chief in a time of war. The resolution, if it passes is designed to be a very slow process of defeat and will endanger our troops even more than just pulling out now.

In the war on terror, defeat is NOT an option!

Chris Peden would eb the perfect replacement for Dr. Paul!

I recently was introduced to Mr. Peden and his wife at a meeting in Washington at the White House. He has a heart of compassion and strong desire to help others through public service work. He could represent the area well.
— By J. Enis on Feb. 15 at 6:20 PM

I hope it is true! In this local area, Chris Peden has earned a name for himself as a man of integrity, courage, and compassion. He would prove a formidable opponent!

Peden would be a perfect choice - He has kept his word to the voters and hasn't given false promices just to be elected.
— By Mike Czarowitz on Feb. 15 at 6:46 PM

I've known Chris for a number of years and in my opinion he would be the ideal Republican candidate for the possible opening in the 14th district. He's a successful businessman, good family man, consistant in conservative values and has demonstrated a results oriented approach on the Friendswood City Council.
— By Ben Whitsett on Feb. 15 at 6:57 PM

Chris Peden will be an outstanding replacement for Dr. Paul. Chris is an indefatigable worker and strong supporter of conservative values. Chris is an exemplary human being. He is kind, generous, selfless and is genuine in his desire to serve the public.

Chris Peden is a genuine person. He truly cares about people and wants to make a difference in the world. He is a loving family man and a valued and highly respected member of our community. Chris Peden is also very honest, generous and highly competent. I trust his decisions, and I know that he will always support the best interests of his constituents.

Chris Peden is interested in doing what's best for his constituents. His voice and consistent leadership extends well beyond the City of Friendswood boundries. He is an excellent choice to fill the District 14 seat when it is vacated by Congressman Ron Paul.
— By Douglas Moore on Feb. 15 at 9:57 PM

The people of District 14 will have a voice of compassion, a vote of competence and a man of committment with Chris Peden in Washington.
— By Timothy Johnson on Feb. 16 at 7:33 AM

As a new member of the Friendswood community, I have found Chris to be a man of his word and a straight shooter to the residents of this city. Chris would be an excellent choice to represent conservative values.
— By Jay Jenkins on Feb. 16 at 9:48 AM

Chris Peden is an individual who truly defines what a conservative politician is. He has demonstrated that he will stand solid for the best interest of his constituents regardless if it fails to fall rank and file with the rest of the politicians. Remember it was the tax payers of Friendswood who got a got a refund.
Chris stands true to his word and always reflects a true conservative. He does not speak to appease in order to get votes. This country needs more politicians like Chris.

Chris Peden would make a great congressman! He has done a great job for his constituents while serving on Friendwood City Council. They have found him to be a man of character - one who serves their interests with integrity. Chris would be a welcome addition to the halls of Congress and would represent this region well!
— By Darren Shelton on Feb. 16 at 2:19 PM

Chris Peden is a man of integrity with a sincere and honest voice for conservative values. He speaks and lives what he believes and will be a tremendous representative in Washington. How wonderful it would be to have more people like Chris in Washington.
— By Jim Kilgore on Feb. 16 at 3:08 PM

Ron Paul is a Libertarian and all Republicans need to be clear about what this really means. He does not support the war on terror or other things we do.

Chris Peden is a Republican. He supports the war on terror AND he supports the moral platform of the Republican Party as well.

There's more to a Republican then just cutting taxes, but Chris Peden has also served the Friendswood Taxpayers well in this arena: He has voted to cut our city taxes and supported us receiving a 2005 Tax Rebate.

Chris Peden is a Republican both fiscally and morally. He would have my vote if he runs for Paul's position.
— By Deborah Winters Chaney on Feb. 16 at 5:31 PM

Chris Peden has shown to be a true conservative in every sense of the word. He will make a fine congressman and will serve his country well.
— By Rocky Jones on Feb. 17 at 6:42 AM

I have know Chris in both a professional and personal capacity for over 10 years now, and have always found him a to be a man of his word. He certainly has my vote of confidence.
— By S Sanjana on Feb. 20 at 10:48 AM

Chris Peden can get the job done! He is a man of determination, and he has many great ideas. He is both a dreamer and a doer. He truely cares about everyone around him even if he does not know that person. The world needs more people like Chris.
— By Steven Bache on Feb. 22 at 3:42 PM

I've know Chris for nearly 20 years, and I would whole-heartedly support him for a leadership position in this country. I believe he is the type of individual that the founding fathers would endorse also. Conserative, Christian, pro-America and enough resolve to do what is right no matter what the "public opinion" is. He has got my vote!
— By David Clement on Feb. 25 at 7:47 AM

Those are all from 2007, under the premise that Paul wouldn't be running for re-election.

Are those comments for real?

Conserative, Christian (s**t) , pro-America

In the war on terror, defeat is NOT an option!

are they totally brainwashed or they just been idiots? 0.0

Quick Answer "NO"

They are likely:

#1 Paid staffers of Chris Peden
#2 Paid Government Officials trying to put out disinformation to form public opnion on Ron Paul.

Everyone, needs to register, and leave comments about Ron Paul. And why the 14th should be proud to have him.

Or they don't exist. It's so easy to lie with those things. Unless there are personal email addresses hyper-linked to each name, I don't buy it.

Is it not the right for an individual to sue a company?

He's right, gun makers do have the constitutional right to make guns.
And individuals the right to sue them.
Or the companies to sue back.

What's constitutional about making laws that forbid these basic rights of the marketplace?

also says that "Ron Paul voted against lawsuit reform that would have disallowed someone to sue a gun manufacturer in the event that gun was used in a a crime...He voted agianst protecting gun manufacturers from those lawsuits, twice."

He stated the reason for this when he voted and it is 100% correct. Gun lawsuits are tort law. The federal government does not have the constitutional ability to regulate tort law. Tort law is decided by the states. He is against lawsuits against gun manufacturers and would vote to disallow them if he was part of the state government.

It is unconstitutional for the federal government to say you can't sue gun manufacturers, or fast food restaurants, or a guy who hits you with your car, or some jerk who punches you. This power is exclusively given to the states and no matter how good the law is the federal government cannot do it.
