Are we kidding ourselves here, yes give money to the Ron Paul Congressional run, support him, and when the Congressional election comes go down there and canvas for the man. But were talking about a place where Paul won last time with over 60% of the vote. He has astounding support in Austin, outside his district, who can easily help him in the grassroots. He has many loyal followers in the 14th district and is genuinly loved by the people there. Peden has NOTHING on Paul, hes a pitiful and disgraceful, silly little man, who can't even DREAM of touching Ron Paul.

Pauls competing in a Presidential Election, and a unknownthinks he can beat him in the primaries for congress? Its a utter joke.

I've gotten some myspace bulletins for this

I wouldn't want to be Peden :p. I'm a pacifist...but those Montana type guys may not be...I would be scared shitless!

Pe*** is not going anywhere. Paul beat his last primary opponent, Cynthia Sinatra, by 56 points...and that was with her spending almost the exact same amount of money on her campaign as Pe*** this time around (Sinatra gave her campaign 150,000 dollars of her own money).

I truely believe Paul will easily win on March 4th and that we shouldn't get so stressed out about this. I think it will be around 65-35 for Paul.

That said, do donate to ronpaulforcongress.com. Better safe than sorry.

Paul has millions in his bank, Peden, a measly 144 k

Althought, RP might decide to retire from congress, but it might not be this round, but maybe, Rand will run instead...next time..

Peden is going to by lynched tomorrow at the rally. He has the nerve to show up at the same place and time as Dr. Paul. I'm bringing the rope...

now now... nooses are illegal.

Bring your guns though... carrying firearms is still COMPLETELY LEGAL in Texas... for now.

Paul cannot use the Presidential campaign money for his Congressional campaign.

But Paul has a vast stockpile of campaign cash at his disposal, thanks to his fundraising success in this year’s presidential bid. He raised about $19 million in the last quarter, and, if he chooses to, he can transfer that money into his congressional treasury.

Paul campaign spokesman Mark Elam indicated that Paul was planning on spending money from his presidential campaign on his House reelection bid. He went up on the airwaves Tuesday with his first advertisement, a radio spot touting his biography and legislative accomplishments.

Elam added that the campaign polled Paul’s popularity in the district last month, which showed him with an approval rating over 70 percent. And it is still unclear whether Peden will be able to raise enough money to mount a serious campaign — he raised an anemic $12,000 last quarter.

Despite his divergence from much of the Republican Party platform — a libertarian, Paul is a vocal critic of the war in Iraq and has frequently been a lone GOP vote on foreign policy items — Paul has managed to win reelection comfortably since his 1996 election to Congress, never winning less than 55 percent of the vote.

No Democrats filed to run against Paul, so a primary win would be tantamount to winning reelection.

No, Ron Paul has around 200k in the bank. He can't use his money from his Presidential campaign. They are pretty much equal and Peden is running some very negative attack ads.

Nothing is for sure. Please donate to his congressional campaign.
