PEACE, RPF, PEACE PLEASE

Federalist papers argued that liberty was not to be destroyed just because like air it fuels both life and the fire of anarchy -
...

Minarchy is not anarchy

In thinking about this , Federalist Paper 10, written by Madison was sorta arguing to go minimalist on the Federal government idea . . .
trying to sell New York, Rhode Island and others to this idea of a federal government and ratify -
NYC ultimately was the first national capital, with the Senate in Philadelphia.

But this wasn't a done deal . . . some definitely wanted to go rogue - the AntiFederalists and Anti-Administration Party included -
New Yorkers Alexander Hamilton and Jay along with the prolific writer and promoter Virginian James Madison had alot of explaining
of what was coming out of that largely secretive constitutional convention.

Jay's compatriate in France whom made it back to Philly - Ben Franklin - was asked in
the classic description of the results leaving the Constitutional Convention hall in his hometown -
"Mr. Franklin . . . what kind of government do we have, Sir ?"
Ben - "A republic . . . if ya' can keep it."

What if your (or mine) min is zero?

There is none.

the distinctions are minor friend. we are on the same team.

and if I can make friends with luctor-et-emergo over what a real pizza oven is...
then, there is hope you can make friends with AF. ;)

And yes, HVAC... AF has explained it many times in his multi-tens-of-thousands of posts.

are we talking about spoons again?
or the obvious threats to Liberty?

are you proposing sir.. that Liberty is a system... and can protect itself?

I am friends with AF- and the spoon analogy is much closer than most realize.

Are you trying to tell me that liberty isn't free? :o
It is free on its own, the problem is that other people want to take it away from you; so it must be protected.

The question is, how?

Are you trying to tell me that liberty isn't free? :o

well, I DO think Ender and AntiFederalist should not share spoons or even spoon together.
but what business is that of mine?

what I am trying to tell you sir... is that Liberty is a Lady. ;)

Hey, we can all be friends and I'll provide the pizza. :D

Liberty, then pizza, right ?!

She is indeed.

NO.

Liberty is William Wallace.

A bit too much commitment for most. ;)
