PDF: Delegate information for ALL 50 states! Wondering about your state? look no further!

As delegates we will be responsible to pay for our expenses at the convention (flight, hotel, food etc). Approx how much are we looking at spending? I want to become a delegate, but after i heard someone mention they spent $3,000 back in 2008, I dont know if its financially possible. Should I be looking for a billionare to donate to my cause?

I think it depends on where you are coming from. Alaska? Sure that would be a bit costly, which is why there is currently a ChipIn for delegates. But if you are coming from Mass, probably not so much. You can create a ChipIn if/when you get the call to go. I'm sure people will help out. And if you need a place to stay in Tampa, I'm sure our RPFers there can find a way. So essentially you are just looking at transportation and food costs if you want to go on the cheap.

Inflating the cost estimate is a tactic used to discourage people from participating.

What would a round trip flight, or bus cost from your location to tampa?

What will the hotel accommodations cost? Will you rent a car? What do you expect to spend on food?

Those are all the costs I can think of -- should be under $700, maybe up to $1k depending on your flight and hotel.

If we even get to the point of a bunch of delegates traveling from all over the country...its easy to just see how many we actually have..then coordinate chip-ins to help alleviate the costs and I'm SURE some of the Florida people will help out...

It doesn't even make sense not to bring delegates to Florida...its what we've been working for this entire time.

So don't worry guys. :) we got this.

Thanks everyone... I think I just had a moment. I heard the number 3,000 and didn't think further than that. I can def see all the possibilities.. Thanks :)

Just remember it's a tactic in the future =)

Establishment types at mass meetings or conventions will announce how costly, time consuming, or difficult something is to discourage participation by lay-folk.

We're here to get TEXAS people organized.

I'm hearing different viewpoints on bound delegates. Does anyone have 100% facts that bound delegates can vote another way in Texas?
