When or if you attend delegate training, you will learn a lot faster in person (with experienced people and newbs with questions and concerns just like yours) than you will trying to sift through various links throughout the internet for accurate information.

Good point - getting involved with your local Ron Paul supporters are going to help you much more. The links are just a starter/primer and the YouTube videos will teach you what to watch out for.

Have you seen some of the YouTube videos in this thread yet? They have harmed our chances last time around, and make no mistake they will do the same this time around. So we need to be prepared, know what to watch out for, be organized, have counter-strategies, go stealth, and have the numbers to beat them.

Missouri primary is does not count for delegates. They still vote but will also have a caucus on super Tuesday. They just didn't cancel the primary in time.

It seems that you had to qualify for being a delegate in March or April of 2011. Am I reading this wrong? Anybody else have any good information for us here in SC that want to be delegates?

I have never been a delegate before but want to be one now for Paul. Am I too late? Help please that is pertinent to my state.

South Carolina's delegates are bound to vote for Gingrich for one ballot. That means if you become a delegate, you will have to pay for your own travel and lodging expenses to Florida for a couple days and vote for Gingrich.

There is the chance that Gingrich will drop out and you may be free to vote for whoever you want (depending on the state's rules) but I would take the above into consideration.

Do delegates vote for anything else at the convention aside from president? Officers of the national party? Amendments to the platoform? Etc

No worries, as long as we get Ron Paul supporters elected to delegate positions. That's the real vote, the other is just a straw poll and means almost nothing.

I'm pretty sure that if they just don't vote, or vote for someone else, their vote is nullified. Same thing right? Even if they are supposed to vote for Gingrich, they can just not vote at all, and still have an impact.
