As far as I'm aware, it only hurts the seller.

Chargeback fees are $150+, regardless of the price of the item.

Having uncutup credit cards doesnt require going into debt.

Having a cutup credit card eliminates the urge to use that credit card... I believe.

I know the writer wasn't smart, but the article showed up on the front page of yahoo.com, meaning some editors and managers of the page found it somewhat worthy...sad.
