Did anyone else see McCain's campaign speech on cnn yesterday afternoon? He talked about how govt overspending raises interest rates and makes stuff more expensive. I thought i was listening to the good Dr. talk for just a second. The longer RP stays in the race the better it is for the cause of liberty. Everyone who has helped with the campaign stop and give yourself a pat on the back.... Ok, now get back to work :)

Lip service without knowledge and understanding - larger military, "stimulus" and lower taxes etc, how does that work really McCain?

He doesn't have to think about how it will work because his constituency doesn't.

He just has to tell them what they want to hear.

Yes but there are a lot of republicans who don't like 100 year war mccain. I spoke with 3 yesterday who despise him (none of them support RP yet but I'm working on them!)

Once again, it's up to us to convince people. Like it or not, we need to hit the streets and canvas. Old fashioned tactics still work...

I agree. A lot of Republicans despise Mccain. It's not 'don't like,' it's 'despise.'

What's interesting, though, there are none who despise Ron Paul, except the neocons. They just don't think he can win. They like everything he says.

Odd. I wonder where they get the idea he can't win. He's the only one who can beat the democrats this time.

Like I have said, the annointed frontiers were weak on illegal immigration when this rat race began, but thanks to good ole' Tommy Tancredo, they were forced to argue with each other over just how barbaric they were going to be to the illegals. As Tom said at the Youtube debate, they had "Out Tancredoed Tancredo".

It appears now that they are trying to out Paul Dr. Paul.

Rebel Resource, Awesome!

Great graph, and I love Ron's dialog bubble.
The external inputs of our market crashing and the Fed cutting interest rates will cause a dollar crash this spring... if we can't make hay with friends and associates this season, we might as well put bids in for Hillary pom poms on E-Bay...

If anyone doubts the effect of this curve I would suggest you take a look at the inflation curve since the introduction of the US becoming the world's currency standard after WWII (Bretton Woods) through the use of the Federal Reserve system. This represents the onslaught of fiat currency and the diminished backing of gold and silver as the standard for the US dollar. Silver pretty much went by the wayside in the 1960's, while gold backing was being reduced.

Pay particular attention to the result after the final break from gold in about 1971.

The first curve illustrating RP's message is an example of what can happen through compounding. And his policies would reverse the other two graphs. It's doable people. But... it is critical.

Of course McCain is completely oblivious to all this and is just babbling a popular line.

We owe 40 trillion in debt?

Where are you getting that number from?

Does that include credit cards, mortgages, etc?

That includes Federal, state, corporations, Individual and money (which has been robbed) for unfunded medicaid and social security payments. The 2007 figure was estimated and actually came in higher at 59.1 trillion.

The United States public debt, commonly called the national debt, or U.S. government debt, is the amount of money owed by the United States federal government to creditors who hold U.S. Debt Instruments. As of December 19, 2007, the total U.S. federal debt held by the public was roughly $5 trillion.[1]

This does not include the money owed by states, corporations, or individuals, nor does it include the money owed to Social Security beneficiaries in the future. If intragovernment debt obligations are included, the debt figure rises to roughly $9 trillion.[2] If unfunded Medicaid, Social Security, etc. promises are added, this figure rises to a total of $59.1 trillion.

The 9T figure is the one we have become accustomed to hearing bandied about, but we owe the rest and the funds are not there. They have to come from somewhere, like higher taxes, more inflation or both.

We're screwed if we don't elect Ron. That should provide some motivation.:D

Yeah, this is the same thing I got from canvassing. They all love him and want him for President, but they will vote elsewhere because they do not believe he can win.

I hate Fox.
