Paul to take 3rd place in Iowa? :D

They are both totally lacking understanding of what's about to happen in this country that's asleep. Suggest they both read Nassim Taleb's " THE BLACK SWAN" an MIT professors take on the history and impact of the highly improbable. History is filled with improbable events that in hindsight everyone said " Oh yeah, well that was always going to happen..."
9/11, The astonshing success of Google, Clinton Impeachment, The dot.com boom and bust, Yorktown, the begining of WORLD WAR 1 (Shot heard around the world) The collapse of the US Dollar, all were knowable but only by a few, History is replete with an enormous list of BLACK SWAN events that contrarians predicted and the masses agreed with after the fact. A very few people, and usually only a few knew these things were likely to happen, these were the people looking at the CORRECT data and focusing on what was NOT known; Ron Paul is the only BLACK SWAN candidate in US political history and the MSM is only focusing on what they know, they can't see the entire context. We are were we need to be.
Ron's odds today are 18/1..I'm considering placing a $10,000 bet. Perhaps more.

That's an excellent book, and yes, I think the Ron Paul campaign is a Black Swan event.

They are entitled to their opinions.

I agree. I'm not going to tell anyone to go away who supports Paul.

As for me, I'm supporting Paul all the way. I want him to win, but I don't care what his chances are. What other politician is standing up on national television and telling the American people the problems facing this country the way Paul is?

Who else is trying to educate the people about monetary policy, economics, natural rights, rule of law?

Who else is complaining about fed policies? who else is warning us about the dollar? the danger to our liberty?

I'm backing him til the end........ And I'll have no regrets. It's not just about the white house to me. It's a movement to save what this country is suppose to be about.

Even if he loses: if things start coming apart during the next administration people will remember Ron Paul's words, and the direction of this country might be changed by them.

This is my first message ever on the Ron Paul Forum!

So let me tell you a little bit about myself. I can trace my attachment to Paul to the first Republican debate. After that, I did some research on him and was hooked. Since then I've made about 10 videos supporting Paul (most of which are on youtube, obviously).

In response to the topic, I really think that Ron Paul can win. Enthusiasm is something that none of the polls measure. And in all of these elections, turnout is always a CRUCIAL factor and Ron Paul will have a MUCH higher percentage of his people out to vote than the others. If we can coordinate a donation day that gets $4.3 million, I think we can coordinate getting our people to the polls.

No other supporters could have spontaneously raised enough money to rent a blimp!

Have faith.

I just want to say thank you for this forum and the positive atmosphere. After listening to the mass media ignore Ron Paul all the time, and hear him called names on supposedly Republican forums, I start to get depressed. Coming here reminds me that Ron Paul has a lot of support for his superb message. He can win this if we stay the course.

I think people look at the last election and get discouraged about whether or not our election process even works. There are some key differences though.

I think Kerry was probably a fall guy. He wasn't really there to win. I mean its been proven the election was stolen from him and his response is along the lines of 'yeah i know but i don't care'. Okay?

It was a really close race. I don't think it would be nearly as close if its ron paul vs clinton or obama.

No one REALLY wanted Kerry to win. He was the 'lesser of two evils' choice. Most of his votes came from people that just didn't want more of Bush, not people who actually wanted Kerry as president.

Do you really think Ron Paul supporters will stand for a stolen election? There would be hell to pay...

Geez, this is a time for being optimistic. Ron Paul is getting his power through word of mouth. The majority of voters may be sheep, but many are not that dumb, and most of the sheep don't even bother paying attention to polls or cable news. The warhawks WILL be divided up among rudy, huck, fred, John, Willard, and some will even do a protest vote for Hunter and Tancredo.

My sentiments exactly.

RP has a real chance to win this. We can and will change this system. That's why we're here. To get elected a honest, good man who will faithfully serve the Constitution and the American people. To get America on track.

So, let's stop blaming, b!tching and worrying about the election being stolen or manipulated. We've come a long way and we have a long way to go. But we're here and we're working it. And we're not going away.

Nothing wrong with being alert and camera equiped anytime you have an election going on, especially with us and RP.

Its been demonstrated all over the country that they will do anything they can to keep us and RP down. Eveything from taking our signs from us to threats of bodily harm, yet not much of any word on it in the press.

Iowa will be a big litmus test of how this election will be run. If RP is close to or tied with someone else for first place is when I think we`ll see the shite start flying.

The one way we could gaurantee we win is if all the young people along with us contemporary voters will get out and vote. If we all did that, we would win by a landslide.

We will not win because you guys sit on your computers all day and try to recruit people from the internet.

IF YOU REALLY WANT TO GET PEOPLE TO VOTE FOR RP, IS TO TALK TO YOUR DAMN NEIGHBORS SINCE THEY DONT HAVE A CLUE WHO HE IS.

Once you show them the youtube video a New Hope they will vote for him.

Get off your asses and talk to your neighbors about Ron Paul.

Wow, aren't you self-righteous today? Do you really believe that all we do is post on teh intrawebz or do you just like making yourself feel important?

You should be thanking the people here for all they do, not scolding them based on feeble assumptions.

Agreed.

I hardly know my neighbors, and how much credibility does a random 15-year-old kid showing up on your doorstep in the middle of winter have?

It just wouldn't be practical for me to do it. I do have 4 slim jims that came with a Ron Paul T-shirt I ordered, though...

The caucus states are where we have our best chance to win, because turnout is so much lower than in states that have primaries. As the race stands right now in Iowa, anything less than third place would mean we didn't work hard enough to get Ron Paul supporters to the caucuses.

With Romney fizzling, we should have a good shot at second place. With Huckabee now under widespread criticism on multiple fronts, an outright victory isn't out of the question, either.

The national race is completely muddled, with Giuliani falling, Huckabee rising, Romney strong in some states and weak nationally, and Thompson and McCain still holding on to sizable chunks of support. This is the perfect setup for Ron Paul -- we have to use our superior motivation and organization to get all Ron Paul supporters to the polls on election day.

Voter registration deadlines are FAST approaching. After they pass, all we can do is concentrate on reaching registered Republicans.
