I don't want Iowa to sound like it is a flash in the pan. The stupid media is already trying to downplay it. $4 million was raised for Paul. Destroying Newt in Iowa cost about $450,000. And he was really high in the polls at first.

Simple question. When are we going after Romulan in NH? The Big Dog ad running on the sports networks isn't enough. This is making me nervous. NH is only 1 week after Iowa.

The campaign has the money, I'm just confused why they aren't hitting NH as hard as they did Iowa?

Maybe it has something to do with a caucus state vs a primary state. It is just so plainly obvious to me that what worked in Iowa on Newt does not feel like it is being used on Mitt in NH.

its christmas time... dont put out an attack ad during christmas. Im sure around the turn of the year they will attack Mitt.

The campaign is doing a good job at making these Strategic decisions. Much better than 4 years ago. They have certainly thought about the content and timing of ads for New Hampshire.

Then you know more than I. Can you further clarify?

I don't think that will be enough time. It took almost a month to topple Newt. We still have 3 weeks before NH votes...the time to attack is now.

People being offended by attack ads during xmas are silly. We aren't attacking character. We never have and we never will.

We are rightfully attacking positions.

Ron may wait until after the Iowa caucuses before he puts a negative ad out to see where everyone lands in voting. Why waste money on an ad against an opponent that isn't necessary? I'm thinking if after Iowa Mitt is still strong in NH, that's where the next ad will go. I mean, looking at Mitt's voting record, it would be like a kid in a candy store. Where to start? :) Newt is all but done. It was only a matter of time before people realized his record. It was masterful of the Paul campaign to release those ads!

No need for an attack ad. Ron's second choice support isn't great enough to risk it. Let the 20% stay with romney and the 10-15 stay with the rest. The current polls are prety ideal going into the caucus (would prefer Ron to have a little more breathing room -- like in the Insider Advantage Poll).

Well, it doesn't stop us from striving to make anti-Romney material go viral. I've recently been trying to find a video showing a series of his flip-flops. Has anyone come across one? I think it would also be excellent if something similar to notonewt.com was created. The campaign may not be attacking Romney yet, but there's plenty we can do in the mean time!

:(

This is a mistake. People are already willing to accept we won't get 1st in NH before even attempting to do something about it? The media rhetoric will permeate after NH that Paul can only win Iowa and we'll be back to square one again.

It's too easy to predict how this thing will play out with the media.

I don't really know more than you, but I run campaigns for a living. I am seeing a much-improved campaign with a much improved strategic approach. They appear to be making solid decisions.

Here's the thing -- $4 million isn't really that much money. Compared to Mittens, and even Perry, it's just not a ton of money. And when you factor in Super PAC's -- it's really not much money. So, they are making hard decisions about what to spend, where, and on what. I did not trust the campaign in 2007-8 on these things and was very vocal about it. This time, they are obviously more experienced and professional people.

Another thing -- we will be in a lot stronger position to take on Mitt after Iowa. An Iowa win would probably cut Mitt's NH lead from 15 - 20, to mid-single digits. So, a lot can happen on TV and elsewhere in the week between Iowa and NH.

Finally, now is not the time to launch a new ad. It's Christmastime and people are distracted. Plus, introducing a new, negative ad during the holiday would likely be criticized. I think the campaign is analyzing this closely. They do this full-time.

Okay okay -- one more thing. We don't have to win New Hampshire. If we even make it close with Romney there -- it's a huge huge win. Romney needs to win NH by double digits to not be seriously wounded going forward.

Who are you Mitt?

Why aren't you doing phone from home?

People are Christmas shopping and preparing for food, gifts, and festivities this week. It would likely be a waste of time to put expensive ads on television until afte the weekend. In addition, it would be bad karma perhaps during Christmas week. Monday will be soon enough.

Mitt is in this one until the end. He's got the money and the insider support. Ron doesn't need to take on mittens until he's the only one left.

Iowa is key.. I would be happy with coming in a strong 2nd in NH, but doing well in Iowa first is key

attacks ads have to run for at least two weeks in order to be effective...

Romney must be attacked NOW!...We have to win BOTH Iowa and NH before the bottom feeders start droping out and throwing their support behind Mitt

He doesn't need an attack ad. He needs to put out an ad disproving all of the "Ron Paul is unelectable" "Iowa won't matter" garbage by showing how he is the ONLY one who beats Obama in a matchup. So either you vote for Ron Paul or you vote for Obama. That would change everything. I'm willing to bet anything that there's an untapped 10%+ of people we can get simply because they haven't chosen to vote Ron Paul because they've been brainwashed by the media of his electability in combination with the anyone but Obama crowd.

We need both, ads showing Ron's electability, and ads exposing Mitt's record.

we need a foreign policy ad. and an ad with stats about besting obama and being the best chance to win in 2012

It may be better to release an awesome ad that explains why his foreign policy is the way to go.
