We need promo videos folks. During RevMarch you all kicked some ass with your videos. Can you help with PaulFest? Here's the deal:

The winner will receive 2 complimentary Paul Festival T-Shirts and 2 complimentary three-day passes for Paul Festival!

The video should be between 30 and 60 seconds advertising Paul Festival. And all entries should be in by 6:00 PM EST on 6/25/2012.

Send all entries to [email protected]

We will post the best 3 videos to the Paul Festival website and to Facebook and let you the public decide the winners with “likes”

We look forward to your entries! Good Luck!

We may have to extend the deadline. But if you can help us, that would be great!

thanks, deb

No more tubers on RPFs? Or just no interest in being involved?

I'm trying to put something together... but its been a while since I've dabbled in video presentations... I do have an issue. I had thought of using parts of Lennon's "Imagine" as background music, but since it's copyrighted... I dunno....

While my first 3 videos are a bit amateurish for now(in my sig), I have the software/hardware needed to do something with this, and the time and have edited similar concepts to this. However, a couple of days deadline is kinda iffy, but I may be able to bang something out. I have access to most of the HD footage around the interwebs lately, however, I'd still have to get permission from the video's owners to use their clips, since this is officially "selling" something(I'd have to donate my prize though, I cannot attend the convention).

A few questions...What (generally) do you want the video to cover? What do you NOT want in the video?

30 to 60 seconds is a huge difference for a video, is there a preference?

Is there an official logo made for the festival already? I'd need a highest resolution possible file of it.

I'll get working on it now, my job for the day was cancelled anyway.

I'll personally see to it that the deadline is extended.

PM me your em addy and I'll get you the logo

30 -60 seconds is just an option.

Thanks for doing this!

Not really a promo video and certianly not relative to what you're asking but I'm firm in my opinion that no video will ever out perform this one.

It has an energy like none I've seen that reflect the true tone of what is happening or "frequency" if that's understood......unlike that "something's happening here" video. Which I though was really dumb.

Just my opinion though. Neg rep me if anyone disagrees. I don't care. It's just a dot. Big whoop.

One of my favorite videos... and it is a promo video, its just not tailored for Paulfest... but it could be... I don't expect my video to be nearly as good as this one.

Funny story about that video. I had to go over to the in-laws because princess who is over 40 and still lives at home wanted to hook her laptop up to the new chinese big screen tv she just bought.

So I get over there, have the cables and all and it was really only a matter of hooking it up. When I walk in all of the elders were there discussing the elections. A bunch of them too. I think half the neighborhood had congregated there for something. Maybe it was a barbeque or something. Who knows? Now, these are all over 60 somethings and I always get to chuckling to myself when I hear them discuss such things because all they really do is echo cable news talking points. FOX, btw. Go figger. They piss and moan about the price of gas and have no idea the reason is that the dollar is worth about nothing these days. Beyond that, they really have no clue about anything going on around the world or even here for that matter. At least as far as i can tell. Just the dumbed down msm spew.

So anyhow, I got it all hooked up and while they were chatting about how they were going to vote for Romney because "The Democrats did it" and the old "it's the black guy's fault" kind of mindset I said I had to check the flash...which they had no idea what it was. I just kind of said it because I was ready to pounce at that point. I also said they needed to turn the sound up a bit because I had to sync it....which was bs as anyone knows. I thought that was funny though, if not definitely original.

So then I went to youtube and clicked on Alone No More.

Wow...just...wow. Priceless. Over 60 inches of reality in dolby surround sound in a room full of neocons hell bent on leaving the youngins with their wreckless tab they were so proud to have accumulated over the years. Growth, I think they called it. It was awsome.

So, I said, it works... like nothing was out of the ordinary. I've got a meetup to go to, I said. Call me if you have any problems. Although, I'm sure they though I meant I was going to go play cards or something.

Nothing but crickets chirping at that point. Wish I had a camera.

Was a hoot. :D

Actually, come to think of it , it was a barbeque they were having. The funny thing about that is that they really like their processed burgers and GMO corn and all of that mess. Yeah....that's big business these days. Lucky for them Mitt's a "business" man so they get what they "ask for", I guess.

Reminds me of the Remnants article, really.

well.. here's my "attempt" at a video, but it's definitely a work progress. I don't think it really hits the spot about PaulFest, but anyway.. Need some ideas, my creativity is hiding under my sleep deprivation.. could also use some good links to high quality videos...

Further along than I've gotten:p

Oh man, let me put the fire suit on...

I really don't like that song, and never have. Doesn't seem to fit for what you had, and may turn off those we are trying to attract, which is everyone else besides us. I have out of town older guests here now and they just watched this... "The repetitive "Ron Paul" in the song is quite annoying"(I have to agree), they tell me after I asked what they didn't like about it... There you go, instant market feedback:p.

I somewhat agree and it's not my best work... as far as the song.. it wasn't my first, second or third choice for this very reason ("may turn off those we are trying to attract") but at the same time, the songs I wanted to use are known songs that I am sure are licensed, so I am very hesitant about employing them.

I do presentations a lot like I write. The Mess technique. And I was so tired last night, but wanted to get something done just to get the ideas flowing.
