Paul didn't make debate because DMR poll was only released today instead of Monday

Maybe DMR was trying to cover up the fact that they only polled 5% of 2012 Ron Paul voters, when Ron 21% in the Caucus.
A legit poll will put Rand at over 20%

So DMR is owned by Gannett Corporation, who owns thousands of newspapers across the country, including USAToday. HQ recently moved to Washington, DC area.

What's their play by doing this?

On their corporate website in the Who We Are section, they boast the headline "A DEEP HISTORY ROOTED IN TRUTH." Good to know.

Drudge has been a HUGE part of the problem this election. I have dramatically cut down on my DR page views in protest.

Good digging. They also own the Courier Journal which did it damnedest to smear Rand in his original Senate run.

That's like boycotting McDonald's by not super sizing your Happy Meal (TM). Stop patronizing the anti-liberty media outlets.

To repeat, anybody paying for cable or dish is part of the problem. And visit those sites with ads/tracking/malware-promotion disabled.

You could further explain your theory of how a newspaper is in on a conspiracy with the RNC

It has nothing to do with conspiracies. It's how it works, or are you so naive, or stupid? , to think this is all coincidence. If you are an adult, I feel sorry for you.

Given the criticality of the Monday deadline impacting the debate participants, and given the "deadline mentality" of organizations like DMR, these guys knew what they were doing and are without excuse for not posting the results in time to include Rand.

Stinks to high heaven.
I tend to think so.

You could further explain your theory of how a newspaper is in on a conspiracy with the RNC. Otherwise, I'd suggest taking a step back and exhaling. This is the sort of wackjob talk people accuse Paul fans of being, and more often than not, they're right.
You don't know how media can work with a political party? Were you born yesterday??

I know you were a little sore that I neg repped you for this douche-bag comment and didn't say so in the corresponding conversation. If you want to disagree with someone, you can do it without being a total prick.

MSM sells news, they don't report it. As soon as you realize this then questioning whether or not a media outlet has an agenda means you need to take a step back.

Reince Priebus could fix this with one phone call to Fox Business Channel. He'd do it for Jebubio in a heartbeat.

Ergo, Political Party working with Media.

No small leap in logic to think that Reince has instead ensured the fix is in, by, yep, working with media.

Anyone who doesn't believe this kind of thing can happen wasn't paying attention during the '08 and '12 cycles. The GOP has no qualms about shaping narratives, breaking their own rules, anything to get the outcome they want. The forums are full of this kind of stuff, both at the local and national level.

It ain't illegal, but definitely dirty and disgusting, and it's wrong.

The only small fact that makes me think the DMR didn't pull a fast one is why they released the poll today, instead of waiting until a day or two after the debate, when Rand would then not be able to point at it today.

It's a fair question, and still why I scratch my head as to whether this is just bad timing.

It would be easy enough to dig up old DMR polls and find out how much delay there is on average between the end of the poll collection and the release.

Pollsters DEPEND on political parties to keep them in business. So to think that they cannot be influenced is silly. These companies don't work free or cheap.

Quite simply: Had the Register and Bloomberg released their poll, which was completed Sunday, on Monday at 5:59 p.m. instead of Wednesday at 6 a.m., Paul would likely have qualified for the main stage.
It’s true that the Des Moines Register/Bloomberg Politics poll was released 36 hours after Fox Business’ deadline for inclusion. But it was conducted Jan. 7-10 — entirely before the qualification deadline. Other polls from American Research Group (Jan. 6-10) and Quinnipiac University (Jan. 5-10) conducted through Sunday were released on Monday afternoon (Jan. 11) and made it into Fox Business’ average.

This is extremely blatant bias and is infuriating.
It's enough to really piss you off.
