Paul Camp Predicts at least 4,000 votes

Don't highball it.

We were expecting a top 3 finish last time and got 5th.

You're also assuming every ticket went to a Ron Paul supporter

With those expectations, you're gonna to find yourself and others disappointed

Cautious optimism and be pleasantly surprised

+1

I'm glued to the computer today. I'm so nervous. This is one of the few days out of the year I wish I lived somewhere more politically exciting than Atlanta, like Iowa.

Regardless of the outcome RON HAS ALREADY won...just listen to all the candidate..talking just like RON...we all know he was the true conservative.

Bachmann got a louder applause during her speech today. I think it's no doubt her and Paul will be in the top 2. She has a lot going for her, being a woman, being born in Iowa, hating homosexuals, etc.

If they're claiming 4,000 votes, then they're pretty confident of that and probably expecting more than that. Remember, last time they predicted a top three finish and Paul only finished fifth so that was pretty embarrassing, and I don't think they're going to repeat that mistake. If Bachmann also has 4,000 votes, then that means that the top two are getting the lion's share of the vote if turnout is the same as last year. I suspect that turnout may well be higher than last year. After all, everyone's guessing. A high turn-out is said to favor Michele Bachemann, but who really knows? If turnout is high and Ron Paul still wins, that's all the more impressive his campaign has been. A poor third for Pawlenty would likely finish his campaign.

ive heard there was a leak and the campaign got their hands on some numbers from the grassroots org. and spent a day converting them to their ticket system.

are you saying Ron Paul campaign got the numbers? or grassroots org took numbers from paul to give to bachmann

Um, CNN just reported that it is Bachmann's campaign that has handed out 4,000 tickets, while a source from the Paul camp confirms Paul has handed out a 'couple thousand.'

A source close to the Bachmann campaign tells CNN the campaign has handed out 4,000 tickets to supporters. A source close to the longtime congressman from Texas tells CNN the campaign has moved a couple of thousand tickets to supporters.

I guess it's important to keep in mind that Bachmann told a crowd yesterday she had to get going because another crowd 'of 10,000' was awaiting her in Ames, Iowa. The crowd awaiting her turned out to be 150 people.

The Ron Paul campaign is predicting that they will get at least 4,000 votes. The Bachmann campaign is claiming that they have handed out 6,000 tickets. These are not the same claims. One is a prediction. The other is a statement of fact. How many tickets you hand out is not the same as how many votes you get or think you will get. It does appear that the turnout is high, and that was supposed to favor Bachmann, but there's really nothing we can do now except wait for the results.

I read this from another site..

"People are getting the feling Bachmann will win, Paul will be 2nd. Bachmann had Randy Travis put on a concert in her tent and according to politico.com she gave away 6000 tickets.... Rumors have it Paul sold 4500-5000 tickets. There was a reason Bachmann book all the Sunday shows"
