Paul calls Dem Senators Candidates 'Hillary's losers' #hillaryslosers

Kinda reminds me of the Mitt forums 2 years ago:

Yeah but they didn't lose *because* of Rands support.

You think these candidates lost because of Clinton's support? Grimes would have lost anyway, so I doubt Clinton's support helped or hindered her in a state as red as Kentucky.

This was great, and perfectly timed. This is not the kind of thing Rand should be doing late in the general election campaign, but right now it fits quite well. Even Democrats are probably laughing at this behind the tears

Brief mention with screencap images on NBC's Today show this morning!

Very broad exposure--puts Rand's name out there for the masses of low-information voters.

Rand mentions Hillary with disdain probably more often than Maddow or Rubin mention Rand. I hope this doesn't backfire.

This seems really childish. I can never imagine Ron having done this. I disapprove.

Agreed. But I don't think Rand would have done it if he didn't think it was a strategically gainful tactic. He's chosen to try to get elected amidst a sea of corruption, ruthlessness, an Orwellian style media bias, and politicians that would eagerly do far worse if it helped their agenda. Very few of his peers deserve any courtesy or respect within this arena.

I don't much like it either, but on the other hand the electorate is pretty darn childish itself, and particularly the Primary electorate, which this stuff points to.

Yes, yes it is. And so are politicians. My first impression of the State House was that of a 3rd grade playground packed with bullies and clowns.

How do House members bully other House members? Or do they bully the staffers?

Rand is killing his own campaign. this is ridiculously STUPID

I think Rand fully intends to mock the process and the establishment to a degree, and create a bit of a three ring circus that is both amusing and accessible to the masses. There is an all-star wrestling mania component to this. This is the state of modern politics and Rand does not intend to get outdone. If you're in the establishment like 99% of the bureaucrats, you have to mind your manners and speak the prescribed talking points. Rand has the freedom to play outside those constraints. It's a potentially powerful tool, in my opinion.
