Paul/Bachmann townhall live stream on YAL site

Y'know, we complain about Democrat congresscritters handpicking their audiences for townhall meetings, and here we have more of the same. I'm a little disappointed.

I'd love to see RP answering liberals' 'tough' questions.

I'm glad obama bots are there. they won't leave there the same.

This was open to the public. There are liberals there - saw a few obama signs.

I dunno about all this Bachmann love. I know it's her town hall and all but...

if she wants to jump on our parade. I'm ok with that... she is seeing the benefits of promoting liberty. that is cool with me as long as she votes her talk.

I'd like to see her take an open non-interventionist foreign policy stance though. That appears to be the weakest link on the right and also certain libertarians.

That's right she'll come around. We need more like her. The more she learns the more she'll be Ron Paul like. Everyone must start off for Liberty somewhere.

I don't understand all the Bachmann hate here. Yes, she was pretty neocon, but she's kept an open mind and has very quickly come to Ron Paul on most positions. She seems to still be learning, but I think she understands most of it now.

Look at it this way... there's 2 ways to get Ron Paul Republicans into office. The first is to wait for an election, spend millions in campaigning, spend hundreds of thousands of hours in volunteer grassroots campaigning, and hopefully they'll get elected. The second way is to find somebody who sees the problems and has an open mind to learn the real solutions to the problems who is already in office. The second way costs almost nothing. Politicians who convert to Ron Paul Republicans need to be supported so that other politicians see that they can change their ways and still keep their seats.
