Paul and Bunning Update

Cowlesy... i'd have to warm up my "wayback machine" to get a direct quote from WJB!
if my own private time machine doesn't work, i must CAREFULLY extrapolate a very
STEVE ALLEN meetings of minds response. http://www.waynesthisandthat.com/mom.htm
my own inclination would be to go even further back in tyme and interview BEN FRANKLIN!

Or even sorta extrapolate out Ole Ben's take on good ole Kentucky way after the prime
of HENRY CLAY. seems to me, the ole hardscrabble rules and the ole honor code sorta have
jim bunning being the aggrieved party. seems to me mitch mcconnell cut at a friendship in
a sore way. this epithany MIGHT be lost on a very idealistic YOUNGER william jennings bryan,
the fellow who did serve as a Sec ' of State for an impossibly idealistic woodrow wilson. it would
register with Ole Ben greatly! we know deep down jim bunning wanted to go the distance,
despite an 'earl butz' reputation in our D.C media that he was accumulating up. the art and act
of being a man of the people is a lore that huey long hones to perfection as william jennings bryan
is in his declining years. huey long also was sometimes on the take, though he is not the biggest
thief in lousiana's history. jim bunning has tended to keep his nose clean. william jennings bryan,
who wisely went to a small tennessee town and put the same on the map in the mid-1920s, was
a media darling in his era. i think chuck baldwin has a deep & quiet respect for this great american.

the great commoner knew the rules behind the scenes. he knew how to artfully feed stories to
the national press. i think he'd find the alignments of our modern political parties to be a shocker.
like how did andy jackson's heirs go so BIG GOV't over tyme? he'd also sorta be way puzzled why
the FIRST hawaii born african-american to be elected as our president is a new deal FDR Democrat
insted of an Abe Lincoln log cabin Republican. Ben Franklin would be less puzzled and more whimsically
bemused. Kentucky is a political maven's bellwheather right now, and maybe is more of a hint as to how 2012
could go than is Ohio right now --- RUN, RAND, RUN!!! by thy sense of grace we see a glimpse into our futures...

last nite was an expression of pure unvarnished jacksonian democracy populism in
that the term limits candidate will take on the guy who is the heir to both JFK & FDR!
