Pat Buchanan to endorse Ron Paul?

Tanc and Buchanan

If those two endorsed him he'd have serious street cred.

O Lord let it be so.

A Tanc-Buchanan-Paul alliance.

This is like pornography for conservatives!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tucker gave his "endorsement". Beck certainly did not endorse him, but gave his views a tremendous root to grow in the public eye, while debunking some common myths. He gets some good media time in a short period of time. The engine begins to chug.

All RP needs right now is a string of good endorsement to get this train rolling. I din't know what the possibility of two endorsements like that are, but if it did happen, and that guy in SC endorsed him as well it would be insanely good.

We should get ready to lobby Tancredo's supporters; they may only account for 1% in the polls, but hey, every percent on our side helps.

Won't happen. He makes his living as a political commentator and is likely contractually obligated not to endorse anyone.

Why don't these people ever do the right thing? He should endorse RP and then accept his forced retirement.

There's a difference between "I will vote for him" and "I endorse him". They are not the same.

UM How?

You want to believe that, but an endorsement just means that is who you support and who you will vote for.

Pat Buchanan is NOT a neo-con. He is Paleo-conservative, like myself.

I really do hope that he endorses RP, i know that he has already indirectly endorsed him but he knows, like someone said before, the dire situation the country is in. He needs to endorse him very soon.

I hope Tancredo endorses RP too, its probably between RP and Fredhead thompson.

To say you "will vote" for someone is synonymous with you saying you "will endorse" someone. That's what a vote is: an endorsement.

A Tancredo endorsement would be huge. Remember the two are friends, Tancredo is part of Paul's group of 'liberty minded' conservatives.

I think Tancredo will endorse Hunter, if Hunter is sticking around.

Buchanan probably won't be endorsing Paul. You can't expect the man to give up his livelyhood to endorse someone he doesn't even agree with on every issue.

Picking up bay would be great.

Only semantically. I don't think I would vote for someone I didn't endorse. Nor would I endorse someone without voting for them.

Buchanan is definitely a paleocon and not a neocon, lol. Tancredo went all bat shit on RP over one of the Open letters on Behalf of Ron Paul. Do you think his endorsement is likely atm?

I just finished Buchanan's new masterpiece Day of Reckoning. He has a lot of differences with Ron Paul, especially in regard to free trade. Both men oppose NAFTA, WTO, etc. but for different reasons (apparently). Buchanan sees us dismantling our manufacturing base, which helped us win WWII; as well as our record trade deficits with China who uses the extra cash to build up her military. Paul opposes (apparently) these trade agreements because they're "managed, and not free enough".

Buchanan talks about the ethnic makeup of the country, and how the succesful melting pot is "rejected as a tool of cultural genocide." He does not mince words, and comes out and says that not just anyone can assimilate and it is PC foolishness to assume that you can invite the whole world and not balkanize the nation.

Buchanan wonders why libertarians (many of them) support importing cheap labor when those workers and their family members will require social services which further strains taxpayers. Buchanan calls free trade a "cult" and "faith based" and completely dismantles Milton Friedman's arguments for it, while calling adherents of so-called free trade ideologues.

Buchanan wants to bring the troops home from bases across the globe, and did oppose entering Iraq. But he does not call for a swift retreat, arguing that the ensuing chaos would be worse than the status quo.

Buchanan also says what is happening on our southern border is more important than anything that happens in Iraq or Afghanistan. We'll eventually disengage from those conflicts, but if amnesty is granted to 20 million illegals and our borders remain open, this the end of the nation.

They're close in some areas, but not so close in others. Even if he were in a position to do so (i.e. not a regular on MSNBC) then I don't know if Pat would endorse Ron Paul, even though he certainly admires the guy.

Pat in a Paul Adminstration (say as Secretary of State) would sure make for stimulating cabinet meeting debates. The two probably would settle on a America First version of free trade nationalism. We have much more to gain than lose on balance if if Pat endorses him. Buchanan is a wealthy man, who has 'taken a leave of absense' from network news before. If other national TV commentators have come out to endorse Paul (Sullivan, Carlson), why not Pat?

Pat already said he will not endorse anyone even though he likes Tancredo, Paul and Hunter.

I doubt Tancredo will endorse Paul because he supports the war.
