Obama sported bulletproof suit for inaugural proceedings?

Interesting comments on the Wired article, like this one.
Hmmmm Why would such a popular President need to go to such extremes? Will they keep him in a bubble 24/7?
What happens when he betrays those close to him with his Marxist ideology?
I do not envy B. Hussein Obama. A very green inexperienced Marxist ideologue who is in way over his head. He chooses petty immature nasty people like Rahm Emmanuel (see the photo of RE thumbing his nose while at the inauguration) for his confidants and advisors.

Anyone know what that bracelet is on his right wrist? Shock bracelet his shadowy overlords make him wear during public speeches? Deviate from pre-approved, carefully scripted psychological warfare programming and get a jolt? LOL.

Why would a very public figure not wear one? There is always the odd man out that will hate you enough to kill you because his dog told him to.

Exactly. If I was Obama I am not sure I would have even gotten out of the limo.

Does he have a bullet proof wig, too? Maybe a bullet proof forehead insert?

I bet you may find a picture of him sporting a just a thin red thread around his wrist, similar to clinton. Michelle looks super-model hot compared to "Babs" Barbra Bush...

Exactly.

Frankly, I think there are some folks on these forums who are one bad hair day away from climbing a tower with a high powered rifle.

You'd have to be nuts not to- and I'm sure the secret service highly encouraged it.

I didn't realize his clothes were like that, but my first thought was that it was interesting to note he wasn't wearing an over coat.

Some of you are seriously psychotic and may need to seek the aid of a psychiatrist.

Whenever a president throws out a baseball at a stadium he always has on a baseball sport jacket that has the Presidential emblem. What exactly do you think is in that? The best in bulletproof panels....

Some places are hard to keep an eye on absolutely everything. Thats when you see more protection. I wouldn't be surprised if lots of their clothes have some panels in them. High end expensive bulletproof cloth is light, thin, and quite flexible. Might be hard to dry clean though.

Of course he's going to wear a bullet-proof suit.

Hell, I'd be wearing bullet-proof clothes too if I could afford them and I'm not the first biracial president of this country!

Bulletproof vests are so 1990s. Sure the vests save lives, but sometimes police, diplomats, and general targets of gunfire and knife fights need something a little more fashion forward. That's why Miguel Caballero's bullet-resistant clothing line exists at the crossroads of style and security.
The Colombia-based designer boasts actor Steven Seagal and the president of Colombia as wearers of his designs, which started selling in London's upscale Harrods department store this month. His products include polo shirts, blazers, raincoats, and suede jackets for women and men. Unlike bulky vests, Caballero says the attire is light, flexible, and comfortable. Some of the garments also come with stab-resistant lining.
But, as should be expected with any designer dress, the shirts and coats come at a high price. Some items start at about $2,000, though Time magazine said the clothing can cost as much as $9,800. Customers can choose from three levels of protection, and the highest level is claimed to resist shots from 9mm handguns up to mini Uzis.
Though the clothing is not yet available in the U.S., celebrities can probably get a hold of some of Caballero's life-saving garments. And if they have any doubts about the products' integrity, Caballero may offer to shoot or stab them just to prove his point.

The OLD WAY...

After the shoe incident, I don't blame anyone for wanting to take their safety into their own hands.

Wouldn't you all just imagine that the Secret Service recommended and provided the body armor? They are paid to be paranoid, and have their own lives on the line.
