I will quote Palin precisely from the Gibson interview when asked about how being close to Russia made her a foreign policy expert: "They're our next door neighbors and you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska."

Hence, my previous statement did not show any "gullibility." Palin did, in fact, say that you could see Russia from Alaska. Tina Fey modified her statement slightly to say that "you can see Russia from my house"- which I did NOT say in my previous post.

The reason Tina Fey's impersonation's of Palin are so damned funny is that she barely changed a word from Palin's original moronic statements.

Palin also addressed this issue clearly in the Couric interview. When asked about it, she said "as Putin rears his head and comes into the airspace of the United States of America what what where do they go? It's Alaska."

My guess is of this 400 page tome she is publishing, she probably wrote about 20% of it, and that of those who made the purchase.....less than 10% read it from cover-to-cover. Just another knick-knack on a bookshelf.

In the future, if you call someone out on something, you might want to ensure that you have your shit together first. Just a suggestion of course.

You have almost 13,000 posts on these forums. Looks to me like you have plenty of free time. If you don't want to see Palin's actual quotes, that's fine, just say so (all of the quotes in question come in the first minute of the video).

BTW, I was in the military during the cold war. We never considered an attack on Alaska to be a likely high priority for the Soviet Forces- certainly not a likely point for an invasion because an invasion of Alaska would be very difficult due to terrain and lack of infrastructure, to say nothing of the logistics of an amphibious invasion against a superior Navy. Even if you believe Alaska would be a primary target, her answer does not intelligently answer the interviewers question about being a foreign policy expert.

You don't have to be a genius to hire a ghost writer to put out a book and collect money from the dopes willing to fork over money for it- all of the people above have done it, as have thousands of other nit wits and unappealing people. Just about any level of fame or infamy is enough to get a book deal these days.

Well I do think the media has portrayed Palin as stupid, and that all her comments they made look stupid might not have deserved it, but I also think that Palin is a bit dumb like Bush lol.

I don't think the media could hold up the idea of her being dumb if well she isn't at least a little dumb.

I think it says a lot of the county though when Paul's book is behind Palin's book lol. We could all agree on which is the more intellectual book out of those two lol.
 
defending Palin is humorous. She was picked because she was moron. She was not prepped for the interviews specifically so she would look that way. Get it through your heads people. The NeoCons wanted Obama. The picked the worst GOP candidates they could without looking too obvious to most (including some of you)
