Apparently in her Katie Couric interview, Palin could not name a single Supreme Court case when asked to do so after discussing Roe v. Wade.

The media had censored it but it has now leaked. Not sure if they are ever going to show it though. More b.s. from the media.

Today, the Washington Post's Howard Kurtz reported on potentially embarrassing clips of Sarah Palin being interviewed by Katie Couric that haven't yet been aired. The Politico has more information on one in particular:

Of concern to McCain's campaign, however, is a remaining and still-undisclosed clip from Palin's interview with Couric last week that has the political world buzzing.

The Palin aide, after first noting how "infuriating" it was for CBS to purportedly leak word about the gaffe, revealed that it came in response to a question about Supreme Court decisions.

After noting Roe vs. Wade, Palin was apparently unable to discuss any major court cases.

There was no verbal fumbling with this particular question as there was with some others, the aide said, but rather silence.

Wow. Just wow. They're trying to keep people in line so badly by censoring the worst stupidity from this flatlining dummy.

If you haven't watched any of her interview clips that have been released, do yourself a favor and watch them. They are hilarious. This woman is a complete moron. She makes Bush look like a genius.

Here's one for her

The judges of the U.S. Supreme Court rejected any claims that the 16th Amendment changed the constitutional limits on direct taxes in Brushaber v. Union Pacific R.R. Co., 240 U.S. 1, when they ruled that it "created no new power of taxation" and that it "did not change the constitutional limitations which forbid any direct taxation of individuals".

I don't think she's a moron. I do think she's got a lot of catching up to do.

I'll be watching the VP debate only because I enjoy a good trainwreck as much as the next person.

While it's painfully obvious that Palin isn't qualified, I doubt many members of Congress could name other cases either...

I agree with this. I actually enjoy watching a VP candidate stumble because she is compromising her views to meet the party lines.

I find it utterly transparent and beautiful. It exposes the narrow margins in which are leaders are forced to argue within.

The katie couric interview = the South Carolina Ms. Teen USA pageant. They are both confused with their sloganeering.

Yep. The income tax is an indirect tax.

You people keep bashing the one person that we have a remote chance of influencing.
What the hell is going on here...I leave for a few weeks and look what happens...everyone lost their way and has had their focus diverted by the media mechanism.

The proceedings, case load and outcomes of the courts are really NOT in the scope of duties for the VP nom...I thought that was readily evident to everyone.
Now you know.

They are simply finding every little nuance of the opponent of messiah osama and beating it to death.
They make certain to fund SNL to keep the viewers of that "Programming" aware that they need to remain aligned with the chosen one.

ALL of this is a diversionary tactic to draw the nation's attention away from the fact that they are, in a bipartisan way, attempting to completely ruin the dollar and our economy while making an elite few rich.

We need to regain our focus, keep a sharp eye on their slippery tactics, lest they succeed in slipping this shit through piggy back on less than recognizable bill's coat tails.

Stay sharp!

Pitchforks and Torches.

She's completely unqualified for the job- its not just a matter of disagreement over policy like we have with Obama or McWar or Biden - she's dangerously inept and unprepared- something that should concern all Americans- old man McCain isn't healthy, she could become President long before she's had a chance to come up to speed (assuming she's even capable of coming up to speed).

Remember a year or so ago when some of us on this board thought she was libertarian leaning? Wow, we couldn't have been more wrong.

But how do you get to be a 44 yr. old governor without realizing that you're completely uneducated? There's some sort of strange denial or perpetual meltdown going on somehow. It's almost like she's struggling with adolescent social adjustment issues. To be so jarred off base by a new situation and new people is something most of us flounder with at an early age. I feel badly for her and almost wish she could go back in time and simply respectfully decline the offer. I just cringe when she tries to look smart and answer questions.

And she just sits there and takes it! I mean, Katie Couric doesn't ask Barack Obama what magazines he reads. It's almost like she's scolding a grade school kid that didn't do their homework or something...Like.."Sarah, can you tell Katie the names of two rivers in Germany?...Now, Sarah,, what is the capitol of Bulgaria?...It's just weird and surreal.

And osama is?
Biden is?
McDope is?

Lets be real here...they're all grossly unqualified.
Look at fucking Bush! Inept redefined.
It just so happens that the media is repeatedly painting her to be LESS qualified than the rest; when, infact, she is just as capable as the pretending to be a minority, uber elitist messiah that the hedia is in love with.

How would you stand up in an interview with a robot trained at discrediting you on national tv?
You can armchair quarterback all you want, but until you have experienced this first hand you cannot to completely understand.

Keep in mind...I cant stand ANY of the candidates.
None of the chosen ones, none of the alternative party candidates...absolutely NONE of them are fit to lead and they are all guilty of diluting the base and being divisive.
A third party will NEVER win because there are so many alternative candidates out there with a single issue that pulls just enough support toward themselves to screw the traction of the others.
Add to that the media predetermining the 1, 2 and 3 percent share of the vote and you have a perfect clusterfuck.

We have witnessed first hand that the president is preselected and the election / primary process is simply for entertaining the people while they continue to undertake their agenda.
So why not put the lady in office, let her get experience while we work our asses off to reshape the house and get credible people in place...repairing the system for our kids future?

Face it...we are fucked this cycle, there are no two or three ways about it.
The MSM will not allow us to elect any other than the two predetermined candidates.
The protest third party vote is a joke and nothing more.
So we waste our time getting millions of people to vote third party only to have the results skewed, misreported and just plain negated.

Seriously, most the liberty candidates we are running have no experience either.
How do you get experience?
Trial by fire.

Damn people...I thought we were all way beyond this.

Get to work on the liberty candidates and prepare to influence the 2012 cycle...if we live that long...or don't have a dictatorship...etc.

Shyte...not that I'm defending her, but the only other Supreme Court case I can think of right now is the one that made it a requirement for the police to read your rights when they arrest you.

I know it's painful isn't it? I saw this on the television and I'm like, Wow... This sucks and now she's being ridiculed on SNL. Hopefully she has a strong enough mind not to commit suicide or something completely insane.

Who really cares? I don't care if she knows about supreme court cases or not. She is Governor of Alaska, not a supreme court justice candidate for crying out loud.

First of all, those questions that Palin fumbled weren't Tim Russert zingers, they were simple questions.

Second, I have been on TV as a candidate for Congress, and I answered far more difficult questions than "Describe your foreign policy experience" without turning into a puddle of goo, and I have ZERO political or public speaking training (other than a little bit I got in the military), and no advisers to "prep" me (apparently, Palin was prepped for days going into that interview).

So don't make it sound like "well, anyone would have been tripped up" by those questions, because they wouldn't have been- even a decent amateur could have done a better job.

There's simply no excuse for her poor performance in any of these interviews. She's been a professional politician now for 16 years, holding 4 different positions at the local and state level, and can't even answer simple questions from little Katie Couric (not exactly known for her hardball interview style)?

What did she think Katie was going to do- ask her for her "Moose stew" recipe?
Face it...we are fucked this cycle, there are no two or three ways about it.

Yup, we are screwed BIG time. For the first time in my life, I don't even have a candidate I can vote for (at this point, the only candidates on the ballot in TX are Obama, Barr, and McWar).

If you're only gonna know one SCOTUS decision the genocidal one is good to know.<IMHO>

By the Constitution, veeps don't do squat. :p

I call your SCOTUS cases and raise you a newspaper.

She couldn't name any newspapers either.

The interview was long, she is new to this and understandably she made a couple mistakes...just as EVERY presidential candidate has for YEARS.
This is not catastrophic and not anything new.

Please enlighten us as to your identity and provide some links to media sources so we may view your national TV interview and critique.
I always enjoy watching a person own the media.

Why am I even concerned with the discussion of Sarah's performance?
Because this is initiated as a means to infighting and a source of distraction.
Everyone is busy discussing some bullshit interview, ramping up baloney about being a heartbeat away from POTUS (just as every goddamned VP in history has been...fucking numbskull reporters) and other bogus grasping-at-straws bullshit intended to distract us from the goal of making certain that we work against the socialist regime that is immanent if Osama is allowed to become POTUS.

Can’t you people see that?

This is so important, more so than any other decision we have been faced with in decades.
We will be in a completely socialist nation considering the entire "crisis" and the "New Deal" platform of the hijacked Democratic Party.

This is big people...not a game...this is our very freedom and way of life at stake here.

So infighting needs to stop completely.
Unfortunately Barr or Baldwin will not win, but will merely dilute the votes...
The media will be absolutely certain to assure no traction for either candidate just like the corporate controlled socialist mind control machine worked to negate US when we busted ass for RP... only to me completely ignored (until the found out he is right)

Until we get some traction, we have two parties to work with. the others will be negated.
It is a fact ... deal with it.
Once we get better people in the house, etc we have a chance of changing this sad fact, but right now we need to work with what we have, and be damned effective in doing so.

We need to be calling reps again TODAY to stop the revised bailout bill that they intend to shove down our throats as they rip our kids future paychecks away.

We inherited this shit from OUR parents...Let's NOT pass it along.
We can be the ones to end the fleecing of america right NOW...as long as we work together.

(Please forgive the profanity. I am unable to properly convey the emotion involved in those statements with the use of "Acceptable" language. I did not intend to offend anyone...just communicationally challenged this morning
I may get rude, be an ass and come off as condescending sometimes, but I still feel like we are all family here and I'd do anything to assist you guys if the time of need came about, so dont be too offended, it's just me.)
