Why all the polls?

Market research / phishing for negative comments others can use to smear us with / trolling? The questions are very 'leading' and seem to want to make us say bad things that will get us bad press. This is what it seems like to me after sitting back and watching it for a while. I could be wrong about it, but if someone wanted to ruin a campaign, this would be the beginning phases of it -- gathering intel (which is tainted by leading questions) to later be used as an attack at some later date.
