Over the top

No states allow that, so it's a moot point. I don't see many Romney supporters jumping to McCain. Most polls showed a huge Huckabee boost upon Romney's withdrawal as opposed to only a couple points for Senator McCain.

That gives McCain a 1,003 delegates from a thread i saw here.

Romney can't force his delegates to do anything they don't want to do if he releases them. They could vote for Mr. Ed to be the GOP and Romney couldn't do jack about it.

Thank you ..that is correct...and I'd vote for Mr Ed over McCain any day!

HEY NATE.....
I'm going to be looking for YOU to storm the convention....
THERE GOES NATE....POSITIVE until the last vote cast....
What a guy...
GO NATE, GO.
There will only be you there, but YOU too can be a star.
.....

how in the word would someone who was going to vote for rommney vote for mccain? if they are just sold out to the party then sure, but if they are conservative at all it seems like they would rather have huckabee or better yet, the man the myth the legend dr ron paul. :)

My parents want to be delegates to the National Convention, so I might just be able to do that.

Nate, I'm betting you are under 21?
It's a great age. Just stay alive that's all.
Love your enthusiasm.
Great.

Simple, most of then were bog-standard GOP members who just happened to (superficially) support Romney, or supported him mainly because they thought he would be the winner.

So, it is no problem for them to support whoever ends up as the "presumptive nominee" -- because that's who they thought they were supporting from the beginning.

yeah, its just sad that so many people are sold out to a team and have no principles when it comes to politics. its like they are just pulling for a football team.
