From the Sacramento Bee: "THE LOWDOWN: Maverick presidential candidates Ron Paul and Mike Gravel are polling at 1 percent or less with voters, but their outspoken performances in early debates are making waves on the Web. • Technorati.com ranks Ron Paul second among names searched on the Web, behind only YouTube -- on which clips featuring Paul and Gravel also are tops. • Paul is the only Republican contender who opposes the Iraq war, while Gravel, a Democrat, accuses his party's front-runners of wanting to nuke Iran. • "They don't have high expectations," says political strategist Anita Dunn. "They have the liberation of being able to say exactly what they think." • Here's a look."

Most of these polls are biased, I'm tired of these endless articles that start off negative, how about starting off the article with a positive spin on Ron or other candidates? Most of their writers make me sick.

He polls 3-4% in most of the national polls these days so.... why are they saying less than 1 percent? are they getting their info from 4 month old polls or something?

Just a guess - they do that to diminish his rising numbers in hopes they don't rise any further.

An exercise in futility, as the momentum is with us. :D

You'll notice NO ONE in the MSM has said a single word about the Utah GOP Straw Poll last weekend.

Because it was a legitimate GOP event and The Dr. KICKED ass! He finished 2nd to the obvious Utah winner, Romney, and 19% ahead of 3rd place Giuliani.

I would point out every time someone claims RP polls poorly this bit about the Utah Straw Poll.

With any luck, we'll get Tucker and Bill Maher to bring this up when they have The Dr. back on.

To be honest with you, I think these people in the media are just slow. Of course some of it is dirty tricks, but I wonder if some of these people even use the web?

Really, I think they are slow to pick up on trends...

why cant gravel supprters join together with paul

Because Mike Gravel is a socialist and Ron Paul is a believer of free market economics. Once you get past the Iraq war they have nothing in common.
I think Mike Gravel is a genuine guy but he seems to completely opposite to everything Ron Paul wants for this country.

Sadly it was barely mentioned even here in the local media. Only a couple newspaper blurbs nothing on TV. Its so obvious watching the cable networks that the don't want any GOOD Ron Paul news. CNN touts any poll they do with RP getting 1-2% yet they don't mention a big GOP victory where he had 5% in a straw poll.

What really blows my mind is that there is NO mention of the Utah "victory" even on the RonPaul2008.com site!

*I* would have a very bold headline-link front and center on the RP2008 homepage about this.

So I called the campaign and left a voicemail for the press guy.

True.

All the MORE reason WE "get it out there".
