......but an inch deep. This race is wide open, but we're not a threat to win anywhere. If we could just win one state we could hang in there. Even though Rudy hasn't done anything yet, he still is in the thick of it in Florida, New York, and my home state of New Jersey. We have more money in the bank than everyone except Romney. We need to push all of our chips to the center of the table and really try to shake this race up. We have the money, what are we saving it for!

When all is said and done we should see which state best supports Ron Paul and then all move there.

All the chips are in for Super Tuesday

He'll be so worn down by the time Florida comes around, he will have lost his support. The "backing a winner" mentality will take over.

I agree with spending the money. Dr. Paul needs to be spending big RIGHT NOW in the Super Tuesday states.

I was really excited about moving to New Hampshire to join the free state project. Turns out the place isn't all it's cracked up to be.

I think you are correct about being spread widely across the U.S. that means it is all that more important that we as current supporters get the word out to the community around us. We were the few lucky ones that have found Ron Paul on our own via the internet mostly.

We can fix this problem but we have to work hard getting the word out to our communities the best we can.

We need a campaign staff running things that knows what the hell they're doing.

Mile wide? Like certain Senators restroom stance?

heh heh i went there.

If only McCain got caught doing the same.

Super Tuesday's too late. If we don't win a state by then. We won't win one on Super Tuesday.

I fully fully agree with this. We are strong as a whole but weak in individual states. We have to win states to win delegates. It's time for Ron to DROP OUT of the GOP race, and unite all the independent parties into one, under the libertarian banner if you will, WHATEVER. As long as we are under the table fighting over scraps, we will never produce change in this country.

It's time to become THE third party candidate before the elites push Bloomberg out there to sap away the last bit of choice the american people may have.

I agree. I think the Bloomberg threat was a ploy to get Dr. Paul to drop out of the republican race early. I think he'll stay in the republican race throughout the super tuesday primaries and then go independent with his war chest. Could be a smart move since a republican nomination isn't looking very promising.

I agree with you. Ron hasn't totally ruled out a third party run. If he doesn't win the Republican nomination (which he probably won't) our message will be swept under the rug and it will be business as usual in Washington.

Maybe Iowa is the best we'll do. Can everyone say "MMoooo.."?

Really we need to gain some percentages. Images published far and wide, the widest dispersal possible will draw in additional points and that in turn will gain much needed credibility. To attain the status of electability we need a few more points. They have to be gained by a method which differs from the way our present core has been gained. The remainder of the public to a greater or lesser degree relies partly on consensus. They are not as independently opinionated. They need bolstering to make a commitment. This means they need to see and hear their friends and co-workers speak reasonably well of a candidate just in case someone asks them who they voted for they will not be embarrassed to answer truthfully and they won't be pressed for an in depth justification. They are in a word more superficial as far as politics goes. They need a different approach and we have only 20 days.

Imagery, as in political cartoon advertising in local newspapers and also billboard advertising can be spread far and wide with modest budgets. The distracted and the disinterested and the apathetic and the hopeless can digest images easily. They require little to no commitment to look at and consider, however briefly. Then they have a reason to test this candidate out among their friends at work. At the same time their friends are also seeing this imagery with short attached ideas, a brief bit of text which form loose ideas.

We have twenty days to make the 5th of February something more than the 15th of January.

Let's focus on South Carolina and Nevada and Florida and Maine and try this out with everything we have.
