2008: 11,841 votes
2012: 26,219 votes
2.2x total votes

New Hampshire

2012: 56,872 votes

South Carolina
2008: 16,155 votes
2012: 75,283 votes
4.7x total votes

The message of Liberty is spreading faster and faster! The rate of growth is increasing ~1.4x (2.2x -> 3.1x and 3.1x -> 4.7x) from one contest to the next, which is good news as we continue to later states.

Even with a modest flat growth of 1x (instead of 1.4x), continuing South Carolina's 4.7x increase from 2008, Ron Paul would get 295,568 votes in Florida, which is still only 3rd in that state for 2008 results. A 4.7x increase in 2008 Nevada votes would put Ron Paul with 28,608 votes well over what Romney got in 2008!

Over 100,000 new people have voted for Liberty in just the first 3 states, and there are literally millions more waiting to vote for Liberty in later states!

Liberty, when it begins to take root, is a plant of rapid growth. ~George Washington

I don't think that's momentum. I think it's because Paul was fizzling out. 07 was disappointing to many. I remember how the expectations were that the polls were wildly off and then we got tons of threads claiming vote fraud.

Edit: How many candidates last time in SC? That's also a factor.

Not bad, but going from 3rd place to 2nd place to 4th place isn't exactly going to impress people. We needed to win Iowa. If we win Maine or Minnesota (or Nevada?), that would get the ball rolling again. Our best bet right now is that Santorum drops out, and major scandals turn up on Mitt and Newt. And I think Mitt is too clean-cut to hope for that.

thread of the day gets a rep

I think that it is even more eloquent like this:

Iowa +120%
New Hampshire +210%
South Carolina +370%
