I strongly recommend the campaign take a look at our competitors' ads:

Huckabee:

McCain:

Hillary:

A couple observations:

Their ads are based wholly on emotion.

The ads are personal and allow people to get to know the candidate

The ads completely lie about their proposed policies being good for America.

Our campaign's TV ads in comparison:

Some observations:

All the ads but the last one appeal mostly to the intellect. They try to convince the viewer that Ron Paul is right on the over-arching issues. On the other hand, you'll notice that the competitors' ads try to convince the viewer that their candidate is trustworthy and competent based on the little speech they give to the viewer, or by citing an isolated issue/example. Ironically, the competitors are trying to create a cult of personality, while Ron Paul's ads try to convince the viewer that his proposals are the right ones.

The competitors' ads are more sentimental than ours. These two non-campaign ads from the grassroots are good examples of highly sentimental themes that inspire people:

This one, made by a Messianic Jew, is too long to be an ad, but is highly inspiring:

This one is 1 minute long and is the most viewed Ron Paul video on youtube:

Wow, great analysis. Thanks for the Huck's ads. He sure does a nice job fooling the audience that he is a conservative.

That is probably the most frustrating thing with this campaign. We all know Ron Paul is the man for the job, but the HQ is having a hard time painting that picture for Joe Sixpack.

If Hillary runs her YouTube page with an authoritarian approach on commenting and rating then how will she run the government?

I bet not one Hillary supporter could answer that, cause Hillary is an Authoritarian Socialist Dictator.

I just want to note that McCain beat us in New Hampshire with his ads. I think that the youtube ads are more inspiring than any of our competitors' and that we can easily great a giant buzz with ads like the one I linked above. I don't think the general population is any different from the internet population and would be just as receptive to the ads that have brought the campaign so far online.

Why aren't we doing something to get some of the youtube videos on to television? What would it entail?

I think they need to be polished a little bit before going on air, we need a professional team to work on them. It really doesn't need much improvement IMO, just the text (e.g. the 'freedom, peace, prosperity' displayed towards the end of the ad) can be more professionally done, and 4 seconds shaved off to make it an even 1:00 minute.
