Other ways the blimp project could raise money.

Hi Caradepora, group,

I like the idea of a few high dollar paid ads on the blimp too because they serve as an endorsement and they don't have to be big enough to read from the ground, just a small fraction of the Ron Paul name and message. It's just something for the news casters to say in the sound bite when the blimp events are covered in the media. Compare it to a race car (but without the clutter factor), no one can read the ad on the car, they just read the sponsor name when the car gets media coverage. I think I saw somewhere the blimp is like $300G/a month. Why not go for 4 one million dollar sponsors which would allow staff attention to be more directed to promoting Ron rather than promoting the fundraising? Or what if you put 8 sponsor slots. Maybe 2 small ads at the front and back on each side. Four ads support the blimp, 4 ads support Ron Paul's campaign. For the Ron Paul supporters who don't support the blimp, they're tune would change real quick if you did that! Especially if you got the funds by tea party day!

If you wrote up a proposal for prospective sponsors that listed the benefits of sponsorship:

-Logo on Freedom One (list size and location on ship)
-Sponsor Name mentioned on all Press Releases for all Freedom One Launch Events
-Sponsor Name mentioned on all Press Releases for all Freedom One Flyovers
-Sponsor Name or Logo on Freedom One Merchandise tags (Freedom One toy blimps, Event T-Shirts)

The proposal should allert advertisers of the limited availability to encourage them to act quickly. Any national advertiser would jump at the chance for that and you only want 4-8 advertisers and you want them now.

Just thoughts on the ad.

Now, what about the buttons? Lets say you had 1,000 buttons with a picture of Freedom One in Elizabeth City that said, "Freedom One Inaugural Launch - Elizabeth City, NC" Do you not think that you could make those available for a suggested donation of $3. A lot of people would only give $3, but others would give $5 or $10. You could probably make $5,000 off buttons AT EACH EVENT. Then, there are thousands of people with buttons everywhere the blimp goes. Another thing about buttons is this, for the initial events, you don't have to make 1,000 at a time. You can make them in smaller batches so there's no waste.

As I've mentioned before, I have a nice Tecre button machine and would be willing to make buttons for the Elizabeth City event. But... I need help with the graphic/printing.

Thanks for reading,
Rhonda.

A quick PS. You only need ONE advertiser to confirm today. Obviously, Ron Paul supporters are a good choice to contact. But another thought, since the inaugural launch is in North Carolina, why not check with Pepsi. They're a qualified buyer and they're either based in NC or the product was invented in NC.
