Basically to sum it up they both came to the conclusion that Rand can't win the GOP primary because Republican voters are huge supporters of the Patriot Act.

No one that would of voted for Rand in the primaries anyways. To be honest I don't think they realize that every time a neo-con attacks Rand Paul the anti neo-con voter notices him. His campaign of a wolf in sheep's clothing turned a lot of those people off, and every time they point out that he is not a sheep we gain a voter. It absolutely does nothing for them to do this other then throw gasoline on the fire.
Plenty. Why do you think Fox News is so popular? This is mostly the older crowd, upper middle class who can afford cable, that still thinks the media is divided into "liberal" and "conservative," and that Fox is the only conservative voice out there. They are a declining audience, for sure, but still a big base in the GOP.
Typical straw man argument by Rove. Paul has clearly stated he would NOT abolish NSA, but make them stronger to go after REAL terrorists.
The debates are going to be interesting, if they let Paul present his case. The fact that the mainstream GOP has to lie and call Paul a "liberal" and other untruths shows they are worried IMHO.
If these two don't think metadata is a big deal then why don't they post their phone records or do they have something to hide? Would love to see a phone record challenge to all the patriot act talking head supporters.
