Hundreds of letters have been sent out advising current permit holders of impending revocation

The Sheriff's Department has begun the process of revoking hundreds of concealed weapon permits across Orange County.

This week, department officials confirmed that 146 letters have been sent out advising current license holders that their permits to carry firearms in public – called CCWs – are being revoked. There are currently 1,024 permit holders.

Doesn't that dumba$$ realize that the only people she's hurting are the law abiding citizens??? She's going to turn every one of those applicants into criminals (in her mind) - especially in light of the fact that she has NO problem violating the second amendment. SHE is the criminal here! Yes I live in Cali, I am aware that open carry is legal. I open carry every time I patrol the border as a minuteman. But I wouldn't DARE try it on Main street. People I know who have, are harrassed by police and sheriff depts.

this is why you need to organize, you want that protest on hollywood blvd, of
course it's not a protest when you do it, it's simply exercising your rights as a US
citizen under the 2nd amendment, let the cops come, as long as everyone is legal
and there's several video cameras to record the response there's no doubt that
harassment will be minimal, you need to make the point that you will not be left
unprotected from criminals, her or a tyrannical government

carry not pads, take down names, badge numbers, license plates and all the
details of the encounter when the cops do show up, demand recipts for arms
they decide they wish to 'confiscate', make use of these notes in court just as the
police will, litigate and flood the courts with lawsuits

as for infringement, there's nothing in the constitution expressly stated or implied
that concealed carry is a right, there's no state law saying that concealed carry is
a right, it is in fact a privilege awarded to some individuals and she's not saying
that firearms need to be turned in or that you dont have the right to keep and
bare arms

make sure that your activities include something like litter pickup or some other
non protest activity and that you're in compliance with the laws, ifyou do not
excersize your rights, how long will it be before you lose them?

This is just the opposite, but I read an article in our local PA newspaper about a woman who was legally (openly) carrying a handgun at a Lebanon soccer game. People at the game complained and the woman's permit was revoked.

I don't know if I can find the article now or not.

Meanwhile, a neat project idea is to open carry but have a coverta camera team (use good quality cell phones) and see if you can catch someone who sees you then gets right on the cell phone and makes up a crap story to see you get arrested or killed. Then sue that person so bad even their ancestors will be broke.

THAT will be the end of gun haters making up stories about citizens carrying guns.

Meanwhile, cops who violate your rights should be SUED DIRECTLY. Don't sue the boss, don't sue the county, don't sue the city. They will simply throw more tax dollars or fiat notes at it and go on as usual. It's when the individual officer knows he might lose his flat screen and bass boat that he will think twice before just being a lawbot.



Keep in mind that when you are legal and a show of force, you are in the right, and that is one thing that scares the statists and plutocrats more than anything.

And any gun owner who is thinking "Awww that stuff will only get us in trouble/get our guns taken away", please send me an address so I can mail you scissors - so you can snip your balls off as you, evidently, are not using them.

The essence of freedom is in the limitation of gov't. The government's sole purpose, as a republic, is to govern the government - not the people and not the states. To safe guard God-given rights by limiting power. The Constitution, namely the Bill of Rights, is about keeping the gov't out of your life. That's why most amendments have in them "Congress shall not....." The amendments are directed squarely at the government by limiting its power over the people.

To a cop, not averting your eyes and grovelling is a show of force.

And indeed, it shall be a show of force. For that is the only thing the state knows, which is why freemen bearing arms is so bothersome to them. I would expect the typical crew-cut ate up cop to think such a site to be a threat, but that is how they are conditioned. It's the quislings who would get on a cell phone and make up a story who deserve to hang from overpasses if that were not too good for them. Cleaning them out in court so all the other state-loving anti gun sheep learn the important lesson is more worthwhile.

Democratization of force and the decentralization of money are the only ways we will ever have liberty. Any other way will lead you down the John Birch path of "meet, eat, and retreat for 30 years while America still goes down the tubes".

This is what amazes me about politics.

You ask most police chiefs of major cities about victim disarmament measures, and they are all for it.

You ask most street cops about victim disarmament and they will tell you that a well armed society is a polite society.

Why the disconnect? Like it or not, the loony left and statist right control budgets that law enforcement get, so they use law enforcement to carry out their policies.

The chiefs go where the money is, and end up annoying gun owners, who would normally be the natural ally of a police force doing what it should be doing.

The liberals love that - divide and conquer, and the police fall for it.
