Do you really think that doing a gig in a college in Iowa in January is a good idea?

That's really short notice considering today is the 4th. You've got 3 days to plan and have a show ready to go on the 8th or 9th? The only option left is to try to get something in the works at a small venue in Des Moines within a couple of days before caucus. Round up the supporters there to attend as a rally to get everyone energized and non supporters to jump on the wagon. My guess, there is only a window of a week or two to get this done.
Something, of some sort, whether it has something to do with Golden State, or not, should happen in Des Moines in the days leading up to the caucuses. There's time to do that. But there doesn't seem to be any money. Or any interest on the ground in Iowa.
There needs to be money on the ground in Des Moines to make this happen. And nobody seems at all interested in putting money on the ground in Des Moines. Most money goes to the Federal Government, to deliver mail. Without a lot of money in the hands of people in Des Moines, nothing is going to happen. I would just say that nothing is going to happen. The 17-29 Ron Paul supporters need a lot of special attention. Evidence indicates that they will not get that special attention. That age group loves Ron Paul, but doesn't know how to vote.

I guess you should. I don't know how many on this forum are promoting this. Hopefully its not just a few of us. I'm gonna keep doing what I'm doing on my end with trying to expose the video. I can't get caught up in these organizing shows stuff. I'm not a venue promoter or have experience in that area. I do wonder where the Iowa people on this forum are and why they're not making suggestions. They would know more by living there what could happen, best bars and clubs, maybe stir up some interests, etc. I just hope a lot of people didn't get turned off on this project from the ego trips in the beginning stages of this project.
Well, these are 2 separate unrelated projects.
1) itunes
2) Des Moines
I would actually argue that a stickied thread on the as yet non existent Des Moines Final Push project is more worthwhile than this thread being stickied.
The people who would participate the most on the itunes project are the fans of the band Golden State. Whereever there are Golden State fans, that's who you want to hit mostly. Ron Paul supporters have a lot of different things to work on. Golden State fans pretty much have this project to work on.

I had money sitting in my itunes account for a long time so I bought it. I hope it does well and I wish the band well.
I don't think I'm going to run out and tell every RP supporter to buy it - it does sound like someone has come up with an idea to promote their band.... but hey, they're for Dr. Paul so I hope it works for them.
Watch the video. That was a great video to go with a great song.
And I'd sure love it if they had some kind of concert in Iowa connected to the campaign. It might help a lot with the college crowd. While I think they are interested in self promotion they've made a great song and they do sincerely seem to be trying to help the campaign too.

Golden State did not come up with the idea
The idea was started on The Daily Paul and is being pretty well pushed by James. No connection to Golden State whatsoever. Golden State wanted to give the proceeds to the campaign - we slam polls (according to O'Really?) - so, - we slam the iTunes chart. Create money for campaign, awareness and get new people interested and involved.

Just got an email back from golden state reguarding the name change
"Still waiting on hearing back from Tunecore.com about changing the album title. They are closed on the weekend, so I expect to hear back this week. But here is the artwork for banner ads and such!"

Hey, I will comment on the size of the font if I want. As it happens to turn out, I don't care about the graphic. The only question is whether the official song title contains "Ron Paul".
Any type of event that can get 17-29 year olds that we can interact with, in Iowa, right before the caucus I'm in favor of.
