Some of them at least... I realize there was a recent thread posted in this board. This thread was very unclear, but the title had "Huckabee" in it, so people thought Huckabee people were doing something against us.
What Ron Paul and Huckabee supporters need to realize is that we are fighting for essentially the same thing. We are both working for limited government and working against socialism... for religious freedom... for gun rights, for fiscal conservatism... etc.
I have been involved in a group started by Huckabee people. This is a group for conservatives (I know of 1 or 2 other RP people there). We are looking for congressional campaigns to help out, and we are planning on helping MANY of the SAME people that we help here.
Sure, there are things we don't agree with as well. In fact, I've debated these there and frankly I think they just don't realize that Mike isn't much of a fiscal conservative. And as far as us, they might say Ron Paul is a fiscal conservative but a social libertarian. But who cares... we are moving on. This is about limiting government and it doesn't matter because there are small things or... things that don't even apply anymore.
I've heard people say that the future of the Republican party is the Huckabee people and the Ron Paul people. And you know, I'd have to agree. They can work with us... their problem is that they have a few more Republican establishment people... they don't nesacarily like that either though. Both of us agree that there is something wrong with the party and the country. Let's do something about it.
