*ongoing* Romney FB likes crash as Ron Paul's steadily rises

Mike Huckabee seems to be the only comparable republican figure to Rand in terms of Facebook popularity.

Mike has just over a million likes and still growing very steadily and makes sever posts a day is usually a couple thousand ahead of Rand on the number of 'shares' their posts get. (both Rand and Mike are on the top 30 list of most shared very regularly).

Rand is growing at a faster pace than Huckabee but Huckabee's audience seems to have a little more loyalty. Luckily Huckabee is acting favorable towards Rand at the moment - we'll have to see if his spine disappears once the presidential race begins.

Huckabee really disappointed me with his behavior towards Ron. I would rather see him become irrelevant than anything but as long as people listen to him I want him on our side.

I actually have much more respect for Palin than I do Huckabee.

Just updated.

In the last month, Rand Paul destroyed Marco Rubio in Facebook likes by a factor of ~10. #standwithrand #rand16 #frontrunner #toptier #ourtentnow

Rand Paul
05/04/13 - 895,902
05/30/13 - 968,170 +72,268

Marco Rubio
05/04/13 - 482,279
05/30/13 - 490,269 +7,990

I think he'll hit 1,000,000 on June 15th. Current rate would have him coming in after that but I'm counting on a gradual increase as it gets closer.

Edit: Just realized my math really sucks. On current rate he will be hitting the 1m mark more around 14th ... since I think the rate will increase a bit I'm changing my guess to the 12th.

Good grief at 70k/month he could have 3 million by the time he announces (Jan 2015)

I'd be surprised if he reached 2mil by the time the primary was decided. Hope I'm wrong and he gets more, but 2mil is a very high number ... no one had that many last time till it was decided did they?

(by "decided" I mean before Romney became the "presumptive nominee")

Rand almost at ONE MILLIONth mark.

help push him over the top by sharing this image

Awesome, only 3,200 to go now. He's picked up the pace the last couple days. Almost 7,000 new likes on Friday.

Also, I hadn't noticed before that he took over the address Facebook.com/RandPaul. That used to just be a fan page and his official page was Facebook.com/RandPaul2010.

Anyone else notice that Rubio has been bleeding likes? He's down about 150 from where he was last week. Rand Still semi-skyrocketing
Rand didn't make the top 30 post shares yet today but supposedly nearly 300,000 people are talking about him. (as apposed to 7,150 talking about Rubio)

I wouldn't normally consider this to be a significant indicator but since Rubio and Paul were at one time neck and neck (for a while I was even getting nervous about Rubio Gaining) the huge difference in numbers does seem to be significant.

Palin is a fiscal conservative. Huckabee is a fiscal liberal. Palin was a lot more friendly towards Ron, but both endorsed Rand (Huckabee endorsed in the general election, Palin endorsed in the primary.

Huck will probably back Rubio/Bush in 2016. Palin's endorsement is pretty much guaranteed to be of Rand at this point.

Anyone starting to think that Bush, Christie and Rubio are just being used as supposed candidates and then will be replaced with some knight in shining armor come 2016 primaries after they take all the vetting?

For a sense of comparison, the 'Ready for Hillary' page already has a quarter of a million likes.

https://www.facebook.com/#!/ReadyForHillary?fref=ts

Interesting conversation I had with some folks on Friday. One made the point that if Clinton ran and if Julian Castro- current Mayor of San Antonio- was on the ticket, Texas is automatically in play. Not completely farfetched. Definitely on the same level as 'Really?' as Rand Paul saying that California could be winnable for the GOP, but it was interesting to think about.

Anyone noticed Ron Paul's facebook likes shooting up lately? I'm guessing its a positive reaction for his Snowden defense.

anyone else notice not a single reference to her positions on the "ready for hilary" FB page? they are not electing based on anything but that she is the only one with a chance of being the first woman president. much like obama was the only one who had the chance of being the first (half) black president

I haven't spent much time on the page but I've noticed Hillary fans usually aren't very good at explaining her positions.

Wow, what a drastic month.

Ron and Rand have been seeing huge spikes in the last month.

Ron with +9,802
Rand with +87,197

Rubio with a overall net loss of -687 (immigration)

Romney lost around 46k in the last month.
