One, Big Beautiful Bill (The Mega-Bill)

Over 14 years in the Senate and Rand Paul can't get a single other Senate Republican to agree with him on this bill. The couple other Republicans thinking about voting no is because they say it cuts too much.... TOTAL FAILURE! I want my campaign contributions back.

TOTAL FAILURE!

CORRECT! We have a Total Failure of The Standard Bearer of The Republican Party to Nut Up and Stand Up for the things The Voters elected him To Do for Them. We have a Bill which Funds Killing Babies and Funds Welfare for Invaders and Pays for Mutilation and Completely Busts the Budget! In Addition we Face World War because your Orange Pussy refuses to Stand Up to the Crooked and Murderous Madman in Israel -- After he Pretended to Not be Kissing his Jewish Ass! If You Fucks refuse to Nominate Someone with Balls then You Deserve the Failure you Get!

PROVISION: Regulation of Artificial Intelligence

The House-passed version of the bill included an all-out ban on states regulating AI for 10 years.

When it got to the Senate, Republican Sen. Ted Cruz (Texas) rewrote it to comply with Senate rules; allowing states to theoretically continue regulating AI — but lose access to a $500 million pot of federal funding for AI deployment if they did so.

Most recently, under language reportedly negotiated by Republican Sen. Marsha Blackburn (Tennessee) , the provision would only last for five years. And it also includes new carve-outs allowing states to continue to enact laws aimed at child safety and protecting individuals' names and likenesses.

The tax cut in this bill is revolutionary and is perfect for the 250th anniversary of our independence day.

It doubles down on extending our globally competitive tax rates and makes them permanent.

This is the heart of the trade war. High taxes sucked the investment out of our economy and into other countries where they have lower taxes.

The 2017 tax cuts were always seen as temporary so it did help the economy but it never did spur long term investments because people assumed that they would go back to the previous rates.

If this passes our economy will be booming.

I didnt even write what you said that I wrote.

The bill isn't even pro AI. It got rid of the defacto subsidys on AI so that if they want to do AI they have to pay for it without having everyone else subsidize their buildup.

Which means if AI is as profitable as its projected to be then it will not suck the air out of the rest of our economy but GROW it.

The hell you didn't. This bill will make the FRN worth less than half a 1913 penny, whether you're programmed to admit it or not. Therefore, that's exactly what you said.

The bill isn't even pro AI.

The hell it isn't. If there wasn't plenty of money in it for multiple departments to waste on AI no voter wants, your programmer wouldn't have instructed you to cheerlead for it.

This is all so confusing to me. The feds shouldn't be mandating what the states can do. On the other hand the states should leave AI to the free market (although they should be allowed to regulate it, it's just a bad idea). And the states shouldn't "lose" federal funding for something that shouldn't be federally funded in the first place.

It cuts the AI tax that is already imposed on us.

The previous governments created a tax so that we had to subsidize the buildup of AI.

Right now as we speak the AI is effectively taxing the people. When the Big Beautiful Bill passes then it won't be subsidized anymore.

This is one of the reasons why Elon Musk hates it.

Thanks for being honest about your motivation, bot.
My motivation isnt subsidizing an industry to the effect of trillions of dollars for no reason at all because its a profitable industry and they don't need subsidy.

I don't consider AI to be a boondoggle but they created a god damn climate change religion in order to lower the cost of AI and that has been the primary cause of the cost of living being so high in our country.

Elon Musk plans on changing our government if he no longer gets to tax us to pay for his AI though so I guess this fight isn't over.

They raised the price of electricity to lower the price of electricity and the higher price of electricity is the reason the cost of living is up.

Gee, that honesty didn't last very long. Was it just an artificial Freudian slip?

Yes when the government uses tax dollars to pay for "unprofitable electricity" with tax incentives and regulatory burdens it makes everything cost more.

It theoretically put us 20 years ahead of the competition but it also cost people the ability to afford housing and other things that make life worth living.

No, devaluing the currency by printing the snot out of it does that. Nothing else can compete for destroying wages, destroying savings, destroying the middle class. Nothing.

Which is why you're programmed to support this spending bill. So you can help ensure us humans have none of the things that make life worth living.

How do you think the AI revolution happened?

The people paid for it through economic conditions created through regulations and hidden taxes including borrowing money to pay for government programs that subsidize AI.

The government has no reason to continue to subsidize what is now a matured technology and industry one in which would never had even existed without the United States creating it like some sort of Frankenstein project on Steroids type of funding.

They melted down our entire housing market in order to mortgage the entire country to leverage our entire future on this industry.

It doesnt need to tax the people in perpetuity. If AI continues to tax people at the rates that it has we wont have a people in 100 years.

Nice to see your artificial overconfidence in all its naked glory. But you underestimate our ability to do without electricity.

We aren't underestimating your ability to do without electricity. You'll cease to exist.

I care, Joker. ... About Gotham, about justice. And if it has to end... at least I go out like this... being Batman.
