I just got a call from one of my County Party members and local Judge. He called to inform me that the Local Democratic party has tried to get a hold of me. It turns out that the democrat in the County clerk position is now disliked by both local parties. And the Elections are soon. The Local Democrats have said that they would bow down this position if I ran because apparently they have alot of respect for my age, activism, and positions. They said they would vote for a good Republican if they knew him to be good. And so I now have many of my own party members urging me to run for the position.

Hot damn… Who knew local politics was so much fun.

I still haven't decided to run or not… At the rate im going I don’t know if this will help or hurt my career.

But you got to love the bipartisanship at the local level... Hay! That could be the new slogan for the libertarian party. “Libertarianism... true bipartisanship.

Edit: OH yeah! I also forgot...

I was asked to take the position of State Rep for the Arkansas RLC yesterday.... Again, I'm undecided.

Opportunities in life come by for a reason. Grab hold and ride the freedom train!

Almost the same thing happened to me when I went in to file for precinct committee woman in my county. The deputy clerk told me I should run for county clerk as she thought they needed a change and I think there must be some problems with her boss, the current clerk is also a dem. I told her no as I didn't think I could take the pay cut, but have since reconsidered. I have until June 10th to file and I believe I will go ahead and run. So I say "Just Do It!!"

I wish you would. I live in AR and it is horrible here. Huckabee screwed e1 and nobody seems to care. ANYTHING you can do is great! DO IT!! Get some honesty back into government. It is your duty, they are calling you. DO IT!!

IF you have the option of running for or taking a political seat, whether it be a republican precinct captain (County Central Committee, County Committee, et-al) or any other higher elected seat.

DON'T THINK ABOUT IT.. JUST DO IT...

The more people of our kind holding various elected positions throughout our local governments, the easier it will be to steer the party in the direction that we need to.

people talk about the repugs self destructing.... that happened years ago,
at least three, probably more.

it'd be great to have a whole army of people ready to conquer the dems
before they even realize they're down...

you know, have people in position to strike (locally) day one after the
election of 08... seize in 09, and have both parties talking a freedom
platform by 10.

i think that's very possible.
