The buzz I'm getting is Putin isn't liking how this whole globalization thing is going because he thinks it will harm Russia. So he's acting a little more independently these days, and think about it: We're bankrupt, they're prosperous. Can you blame him for turning the tables on us and throwing his weight around?

FWIW, I read something somewhere that back in the 80's (Reagan) when the Cold War was winding down he was a double agent. Meaning, he helped us "win." He's an enigma, that man.

His main beef has to do with US belligerence. Can't blame him for that.
