Olbermann and Garafalo Breach New Barriers in Journalistic Excellence

Good thing she's a lesbian, no chance in her breeding and raising little jr. cunts.

What's the significance of Garafalo? She's the only person that would appear as a guest that would speak against the tea parties? With pay?

Sperm meet test tube. :(

They would have to pay her. I think she is working as a bagger at Whole Foods. (this is how rumors start haha)

This Garafalo chick is from the culture wars era. She belongs in the 90's. She just provocative for no reason, she obviously has a superiority-complex and doesn't understand the debate about illegal immigration.

I understand Olbermann's disapproval for corporate-sponsored dissent but msnbc's contempt for the people at the tea parties is just stupid. They're just informed about the movement's purposes, labeling it racism.

This one suprised me...

I like to think that not much of anything that comes out of the MSM would surprise me, but this one did. Let's be clear: NBC is comfortable calling every single American that protested in the Tea Parties a racist. Olbermann endorsed this view, and MSNBC/NBC has a responsibility in this.

Folks - its just amazing to me.

I'm no fan of Fox News (I followed everything they did/didn't do regarding Dr. Paul's campaign, and I was disgusted), but I am inclined to follow and even support them a bit at this juncture. I heard O'Reilly say yesterday that he thought a full out "Civil War" had just erupted in the media, that the lines were now drawn, and it was open conflict.

I can't disagree.

The thing is... I know the Ron Paul folks are not going to be duped, and I know how many legitimate reasons we have for not liking or trusting them. But at this juncture, I wonder if it won't be in our interest to follow their reporting and perhaps engage in some support of FNC. I've little doubt that FNC would ultimately knife the Constitution in the back... so we can't trust them ultimately. But I wonder if supporting their network and the associated political movements won't - in the short term - benefit us.

Does anyone see what I mean?

I personally don't intend to let this opportunity pass by without using it to spread our message. I don't have a problem with "using" Fox News.

On another note, here's Garofalo's web site: http://www.janeane.net/ it has a forum. If you join, please don't prove her point, or act like pigs.

Maddow is a big step up from Olbermann. She respects Paul a lot, even calling him Dr. Paul. She also did two good segments about the hijacking of the tea parties from us.

In a way, that makes them the real racists.

That was an amazingly disgusting segment, mainly Garafalo. Ill listen to her ramble on about neurological issues when she presents her MD - Neurosurgery for inspection. Otherwise shes feeding as much negativity as the people she claims to be exposing.

My next tea party sign

"I'm not a racist. I thought Bush was a fascist too"

My next tea party sign

"I'm not a racist. I thought Bush was a fascist too"

There needs to be more stuff like this at the tea parties so people can't criticize them. Thing is, the neocons that are trying to hijack them would probably boo you out any way. I mean, did you see the shitfest that was the Atlanta tea party?

Olberman had kind words for Paul during the presidential compaign as I recall, and called out fake news for its unfair bashing of Dr. Paul.

I suspect he is as baffled as me as to why the movement would suddenly become allied with the neocon PR apparatus that is Fox News.

Do you really think we are "using" THEM? Think again.

The liberal media only cozied up with Ron Paul because of his anti-war views. He's still considered the enemy because of his anti-collectivist, anti-state views. Never forget that.

Ah the old racist card again.

Because the President has done NOTHING that warrants ANY legitimate criticism, regardless of race or image.

Oh wait, he has DONE NOTHING.

The hypocrisy and ignorance coming out of Garafalo's mouth is absolutely incredible.

These are exactly the same people who cried "liberal isn't a bad word!" for 8 years, right?

that just blew me away...i cant believe they can call that journalism or reporting. i agree with a statement made above... she says the right love anti-intellectualism while at the same time, makes zero effort to counter the purpose of the tea parties with any rational dialogue or debate, she just calls them "racist" and leaves it at that. I cant speak for everyone, but I know at least for the people here on RPF, race had absolutely nothing to do with this.

we would love ron paul and the philosophy of liberty just as much if he were a black man, asian, whatever.

I wonder if the 15 (of 70 total) or so black folks at the Louisburg NC Tea Party considered themselves white racists? LOL I have always hated Garafalo's politics; now I hate them even more.

you must have missed this part

I wonder if the 15 (of 70 total) or so black folks at the Louisburg NC Tea Party considered themselves white racists?

No, they all have stockholm syndrome. Didn't you hear that part? Clearly, if someone with dark skin fails to unquestioningly support someone els with dark skin, it could only be due to some mental defect. It couldn't possibly be because they have a functioning brain capable of analyzing information and drawing conclusions in an intelligent manner! (sarcasm of course)

Who's the real racist?

no shit. she opposes any kind of criticism of the president, because hes black and can't handle it. what the shit is that. treat the man like you would any other, they are the ones who always bring up the issue of race.

GE exchanges Media Mogal's communication resources to the Obama Administration for $139 BILLION bailout.

PLUS 2007 comment by Immelt & company:

General Electric Company also faces $6.55 billion in potential retiree health care costs, one of the highest among U.S. companies. We are concerned about possible conflicts on General Electric’s board relating to the company’s exposure to the health care crisis.
