Cole - Y
Fallin - N

Just thought this would be good to post so that we can contact with both positive and critical communications as warranted.

I was happy to see that my rep, Sullivan, voted no. I'm going to have to give Boren a piece of my mind... especially since I'll be moving into his district soon.

Just called Boren's office in Muskogee to try and get an answer about why he voted as he did.

The fella on the phone gave me a blurb about the 'overall economy' and 'trying to keep problems from 'trickling' down to small business and us mainstreet folks.

I didn't tear into the fella as it wouldn't really do any good but I did briefly explain that the plan did exactly the kind of crap that Boren was wanting to avoid. How it destroyed the value of dollar and savings by inflation, how it tried to fix this problem with inflation with the same thing that caused our problems, inflation.

After a few minutes of talking I had to let it go as my call was not probably the place for detailed lessons on economics nor would it likely get past this fellows ears to Dan's anyways.

I'd love to see ole Dan out of office but I don't know anything about this Raymond Wickson that is running against him. He has a website (and what was in it did not impress me) and I emailed for information a week or so back (I have not heard anything yet.)

What people fail to realize is if the godernment doesn't buy those loans, we are all going down the tubes, and not years from now, but in a matter of days/weeks.......z

What people fail to realize is that some things going down the tubes is not necessarily a bad thing, and the sooner the better. As in, the sooner it happens the sooner the corrections can happen and we can start again with a more firm financial foundation.

I respond on the off chance that you are not simply a troll.

Good day.

Is Boren a relative of the "Skull and Bones" Boren, ex-US Senator, and current head of OU?

He's the son of David Boren, who was a former governor, former US senator, and is now president of OU.

I just sent a note to our boy Coburn too. Doubt it will do much good but we gotta try.

I am writing to support Senator Coburn in voting against the bailout of the 'financial system' that is being pushed. Such socialization of bad debt losses with roots in improper Federal Reserve actions would be morally reprehensible and the furthest thing from being fiscally responsible.

I am confident that my Senator however understands that such measures as proposed would only be trying to fix the busting bubble with the same poison that caused it, inflationary monetary policy. Such destruction of the dollar certainly would be beneficial to those who initially get the influx of moneys it would in the end further destroy the value of our currency. Such destruction would destroy the value of our savings and the purchasing power of our wages, it would in short cause the very problems for mainstreet that the talking heads are saying they seek to avoid.

Senator, do the right thing. Stand on your fiscally conservative credentials and stand against this further socialization of our nation.

Now we have ...

Inhoffe- No
Coburn- Yes

Really kinds surprised me. Coburn was/is not perfect but I still respected him a good bit. Much of that is now lost.

I did email 2-3 weeks back and never got a response. :(

i'm going to start a Wickson thread instead of cluttering this one.

Sullivan's office said he was about to vote yea this time. Haven't seen confirmation yet.

If so, he has to go!

Confirmed. Only Lucas voted no. Boren, Cole, Fallin and Sullivan all need to go, now, folks. We have work to do.

Called Brad Henry

I just called the Gov. office (for what it is worth) asked that he call an emergency session of the legislature.

Lady says "he has nothing to do with that"

She said it like 4 times. He has nothing to do with it.
Oh really?

I am going to have to re-read my civics textbook~

The Governor has nothing to do with government.
Ok-got it!

His # is 521-2342
