Okay, who spilled the beans

Are we now going to start eating our own, now that it's the weekend and we can't focus on Failor? We need to get a grip and remember what we're doing here. John is one of US! :)

let's stop chucking mud at each other. the news will make it out sooner or later. until then, there's no point crucifying the guy who tried to give us a scoop.

It strikes me rather as being people who are trying to calm down the lynch mob, and verifying that it isn't just someone trying to stir up trouble. Some people are rather paranoid around here, it seems, and to be quite blunt, they seem to have a hard time controlling themselves and their emotions. If I could say that more tactfully, I would, but tact isn't one of my notable skills.

Thank you. this is why HQ keeps info to themselves.

Frankly, it worries me that nothing has been announced and some wrinkle developed which will really throw the mob up in arms.

Those of us that do know aren't in some special club. We just win the proximity award for this particular activity- which earns us more work and more responsibility. You will all likely be in the same boat at some time in the future on this campaign.

But if I'm to be totally honest, nothing should be said at all until HQ said it themselves. One's ego is both the source of mans greatest achievement and his downfall.

What scoop? Did I miss the big announcement? What I remember reading is that he knew what the big announcement was "but, couldn't tell". Why the heck did he bring it up in the first place?

Unprofessional, probably. Intentional? No sure sign of that yet. Enthusiasm and excitement about being on the 'inside' is hard to shake. I'm going to hope that this was an honest mistake, an effort to give us a heads-up and generate a little excitement before the news hit, and that he didn't know what sort of delay would be involved. But we're all feeding into the situation by hanging about, harassing each other over it...

And in such case, I will quietly work within those I feel I can trust with the full deal until such time as the campaign folks decide to make it wholly public. There will certainly not be tease threads like these posted in public forums.

Also, with regards to why HQ keeps these things secret... well, isn't it a bit disrespectful for folks to be running around with the "look what I know and you don't!" posts/attitudes if it is genuinely the desire of the campaign to keep these things a *secret*?

There is no question it was an honest mistake. I might have even done the same in his shoes.

We are all Ron Paul junkies, it is like someone said you don't dangle crack in front of the face of a crack addict. Live an learn. Follow Lleppard's example and go outside and enjoy the weekend.

He honestly believed this was going to be announced minutes after his post I think.

Each an every one of you would take some pride in knowing something about Ron Paul first. People like feeling important, and some want recognition when they are important.

Glass houses people. We are all in this together.

You could always try and "Hack" The servers and figure it out by yourself. Since as a base we are so good at HAX0r!

It was a friggin' MISTAKE! Give the guy a break. GEEZ!

Don't get me wrong, I don't mean to be giving other good supporters a hard time, I just want to make my opinion on the matter known. Given that we can agree these actions were a mistake, I am just hoping that these folks and others can avoid making the same or similar mistakes in the future. :)

We got it. Now, can we stop beating our fellow Ron Paul supporter over the head with a 2 by 4?

I really do agree with you. I hope you understand that.

I just don't want people to be mad at a guy that didn't have bad of intentions. He was in meetings all day and was bubbling over with exciting news that was supposed to be available to the public last night.

Yeah, I guess I could buy that had it not gone on and on and on and on.....and then to have him make a thread called "who spilled the beans" just doesn't cut it for me. It reeks of childishness to me.

Oh, well then...

that means we can all learn a valuable lesson from this experience. One of these days we could be John.

Since we are still waiting, I am going to go ahead and guess.

Here's my thought, though. How could it be a 15 without Ron there???!!!!

Also, I thought yesterday evening that I knew something. I was told, by someone who is more in the know than I, that Ron *was* going to be there! So, if that's wrong :( then here are my guesses.

1. Ron is having a Rally at another venue in town. Even though he won't be there, he will still be speaking at the Rally via satellite.

2. There will be 2000-5000 supporters there. (I heard that.)

3. The Forum was supposed to be expecting 1600, but now some of those are withdrawing their RSVP. (I heard that, too.)

4. Ron's campaign has been doing polling in Iowa, and they have determined that he is going to win the Straw Poll. So after Saturday, he is going to take a well needed vacation for a couple of days and grill some hot dogs. (lol)

This is all a shot in the dark :D , except for the things I said I had heard. And I guess those are all conjecture, too, since I thought he was going to be there. :(

One more 2x4 whack

Anyone can make the one mistake of letting out last night that there was a secret to know.

But why come on here and say you heard it on the radio and STILL not tell us?

Sorry, this is getting annoying. :(
