I have donated twice before, and will most surely do so again on Jan. 21st.
While the connection between the vision of Dr. King and Dr. Paul are not lost on me, I initially had reservations about the wisdom of choosing that date for a MoneyBomb. To be honest, I still believe it was ill-conceived. If nothing more, the media will be awash in tributes to Dr. King and will have an easier than usual time conveniently overlooking our efforts. Furthermore, the choice of date provides much grist for the mill of perverse 'spins' by Dr. Paul's detractors and the anti-Paul media.
However, for these very same reasons, I believe it is IMPERATIVE that this be a FULLY successful drive. Indeed, it must be an overwhelming one. It can leave no doubt about the commitment of Ron's supporters. It must be at a level that the media cannot dismiss or portray as a failed effort. I'm sure I don't need to convince anyone here how elated they would be to do so.
Please, join me in making the largest donation you can possibly afford... and then, throw in an EXTRA ten bucks to cover one of those who will not (for whatever reason) contribute on this date.
