Hiya... Charlotte, NC here. District 9, precinct 51. Have my lists but have had no luck on the phones... my lists given to more experienced canvassers in the Charlotte RP meetup. Have lots of lit to distribute and signs!

I will also be attending the Mar. 8 convention in Charlotte and hoping to be a delegate at least thru state.
 
Henderson precint SCRK-SCRK is onboard. I am alone but GunnyFreedom will help me get started.

We can win NC if the grassroots all work together. If anyone knows anyone in Vance county, pass the word. I can be reached at 919-272-7168.
 
Hey guys I'm a Republican in the Cary Raleigh area. I've been networking with other college students at NC State and other univs and I should be able to round up several Ron Paul supporters for the initial delegate selections in my area. Where can I get information on this?

Another Watauga Countian here! Im new to the revolution but met Matt and several others at my first Meetup on Friday.

Hi, I am new to the forum community but I will be checking all the time. I am a committed Ron Paul supporter and believe that we can win NC with all my heart. If we all believe that, it will happen. SO lets get to work...

I live in Charlotte and have begun carrying my Ron Paul sign up and down East Blvd and through freedom park passing out slim Jims and talking to people as much as possible. I am here to tell you that there are people who are very intrigued and want to find out more every time I speak about the good Dr. We need a major organized effort all throughout NC. We have time, we can pull out a win for Ron Paul here! I know the grassroots people from Greenville, SC and have contacts from GA as well who all want to help. We should find the folks in VA after tomorrow and ask them all to consolidate their efforts and help us hit College campuses, coffee shops, bars, restaurants, etc...

If you live here, you already know that we are the first state to volunteer to have the "Real ID" placed on the back of all new licenses. This is a major in road that needs to be leveraged. Let's find a way to educate the public about this and raise awareness. I will be going to gun shows, talking to people and holding my sign, passing out flyers and I am even considering placing some stuff on
public access.

Actually, we will be looking for help throughout Congressional District 2, which wraps around southeast of Wake County, continues to south of Durham County, and includes some of Raleigh. If you are in Congressional District 2 at all, call me at 919-272-7182 or email [email protected] ; or if you are in Franklin/Vance area call Jacque or myself. We will be working District 2, and coordinating activities with adjacent districts.

Welcome! Looks like several forumers from Wautauga county onboard. awesome!

We're forming centers of gravity for grassroots coordination. You should be canvassing right now for volunteers to help spread the world. A lot of people, when they just wake up, really, REALLY want to help. Most of us do, in fact. So speak to that. When you wake someone up, tell them how they can help.

Each geographical 'center of gravity' should have a simple mailing list, which new volunteers can join, and pick tasks. Local meet-ups would be perfect for this coordination. I should think. Get as many people as you can to join a meetup or a Yahoo group, or Google group, one that you have access to and can post projects that need help.

I'm in the piedmont-ish. 45 minutes from Charlotte.

No worries, that's just a broad stripe of the state right now, like distribution points. As more people come onboard we will fill in the Triad proper.
 
Charlotte here, pct 228, district 12 --

IMHO district 12 is the most messed up dist in the state. How in the world are we going to have representation in a dist that's shaped like a snake on acid??? The only thing we have going for us is that because it is so spread out it will be "difficult" for some people to attend the dist convention, so RP's troops should win all the delegates!!

I visit this forum on a regular basis, but don't post every day. This is not the only place to get active

South of Charlotte

Union county District 9 precint 34. My sister is coming up this saturday from Atlanta, she has 50 yard signs and a bunch of slim jims for anybody who wants some in the area. I believe she has her county delegate voting that morning so she won't be here untill late afternoon. I've been terribly busy and haven't had time to do much canvassing but the time has come and I will not let all of you down. If anyone is in my area and would like to help please pm me.

THIS is the key to helping Ron Paul slip in under the radar and WIN!!!
2nd hand info, but I heard yesterday on Ron Paul Radio, that our supporters practically took over the delegate process in Alaska, when other campaigns got bored and left the meetings early. Our folks stuck around and got put on commitees, etc. and we wound up with more delegates than expected. Same story in other area where people put forth the effort, time out of their lives and have made a tremendous impact on local party politics, all within a couple of WEEKS! The local GOP meetings and caucuses are where our chances are at.
Yes, we still need to canvass and support Dr. Paul financially when possible, but getting involved in our local areas is where we will see the most important results. Lets Roll!!!!
 
I see 6 people in the general Charlotte area. That's awesome. Have you gotten a letter from the BOE about being a judge in your precinct? My husband did and I called the BOE about whether there was a problem about being paid (yes it is a paid position $150 for the day and $20 for the mandatory training and you count the votes.....) member of the "board" and being a delegate. There is no law against being a "judge" for your precinct and being a delegate, just use common sense and when you are asked to speak, make sure everyone knows what capacity you are speaking from.


BTW there are 5 precints that need a judge, what's your pct?

BTW...there are supporters down east here. Jacksonville, New Bern, Greenville all have fairly strong meetup groups goin. I'm organizer for the NC 3rd Congressional District Ron Paul meetup.

Ok Charlotte

My shipment is in. 50 or so yard signs and a big box of all kinds of slim jims. Come and get them. I live in Monroe but I can meet anybody up in the Charlotte area.
