Woah! MUCH better to work from walking lists of registered voters and see who voted in the last Republican primaries. General population signatures--even when they say they're registered and voted Republican--are a notoriously low percentage of good sigs. If so, do what you can to "pre-certify" the sigs with the board of elections and ethics so you know which petitions to turn in. Please, please, please, trust me on this one. It's just a little bit more work but can make the difference between getting on the ballot or not.

I attended the meeting with Hellah10 this morning (nice meeting you BTW) and the good news (if this is correct) is that the 3 delegates from each district need a total of 50 valid signatures, not 50 signatures from each delegate. This certainly seems feasible, even with our tight deadline. I've got 11 so far, and should have at least 30 or so more.

Sidenote: My neighbor, who is a strong Bush supporter, said that while he would would almost never vote for Paul, had no problem signing my petition. He also said he appreciated my involvement and considered it important. So that was nice.
