Officials: Man who knew Boston bombing suspect was unarmed when shot

The murders took place around the tenth anniversary of the September 11 attacks.

Tsarnaev, the alleged bombing mastermind who died in a fierce gun battle with police early Friday morning, had been training with one of the 2011 murder victims in an attempt to transition from boxing into a possible career in the brutal sport of mixed-martial arts.
Tsk tsk.

What a garbage-ly excuse for journalism.

Zippy is one of the forums more talented and persistent trolls.
And he should be called out when proven wrong.

If he were talented EVERYONE wouldn't know he was a troll, or at least some would have doubts. Persistant...yes, hence his 'ignore' status.

Unarmed you say, and yet average news reader has mentally buried this story so the damage has been done to the dead man's family while the real criminals in uniform will get a paid vacation if they suffer any consequences. You are not a conspiracy theorist for doubting the official story, you are a realist. Zippy was an aggressive defender of the official story on this and is rightfully called out for shaming others who doubted the initial reports.

I've read up on this a bit--was there a thread on this already?:

Yeah,, they were trying to tie all of them to an unsolved murder case.
A case they have no evidence to tie them to.

Piss poor police work, masquerading as "investigation". Mostly just smear journalism.

Perhaps, but they're making some pretty bold claims that they may or may not be able to prove. Just something to keep a look out for.

Bold claims are easy when there will never be a trial because the accused is dead.

Just blame it on the dead guy,, he can't argue.

LOL! US government is Sooooooooooooo Corrupt, everyday, another mundane organization demands an independent inquiry.
The Florida chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations on Wednesday called for an independent investigation
Fools vote to empower these party criminals, then when the corruption continues, they don't trust their masters... what they don't realize, today's Fascist-Authoritarian regimes running the District of Criminals, run even the independent council/committees which are old crony tainted-rigged political buddy system. Isn't that correct... Lee Atwater, Phil Angelides, & Tom Kean?

PS: So, let me get this correct... MULTIPLE Armed FBI agents confront an unarmed man and the professional 007 hitmen feared for their lives... so they put a bullet in the unarmed man's head? I presume they lacked "target practice"? The professionally trained couldn't wrestle him to the ground and cuff him? Couldn't shoot him in the leg, hip, or shoulder, eh? YEAH... RIGHT...

:D Jackie Chan, "America is 'the most corrupt in the world."

From the article:
Initial reports citing anonymous law-enforcement individuals provided conflicting accounts of what happened. Some law enforcement officials said Todashev wielded a knife and others suggested that he attempted to grab the FBI agent’s gun.

One law enforcement official, speaking on the condition of anonymity to discuss an ongoing investigation, said Wednesday that Todashev lunged at the agent and overturned a table. But the official said Todashev did not have a gun or a knife. A second official also said Todashev was unarmed.

An official said that according to one account of the shooting, the other law enforcement officials had just stepped out of the room, leaving the FBI agent alone with Todashev, when the confrontation occurred.

I was quoting reports from that time. They turned out to not be completely accurate. The article does not say that some confrontation did not occur or who started it nor does it say that the FBI agent going to the hospital with injuries was not inaccurate (or accurate) either.

Believing the stories from the same people that killed him is why you fail. You're much better off defaulting to belief in the complete opposite of whatever the authoritahs initially claim happened.

"(The FBI) took me and my friend, (Todashev). They were talking to us, both of us, right? And they said they need him for a little more, for a couple more hours, and I left, and they told me they’re going to bring him back. They never brought him back," Taramiv said.

"He felt inside he was going to get shot," Taramiv said about Todashev. "I told him, 'Everything is going to be fine, don't worry about it.' He said, 'I have a really bad feeling.'"

That story said "because of Todashev's martial arts expertise, 'he was a weapon himself.'"

I guess we're all armed now... even if we're unarmed.

The funny thing about martial arts is that you do not have to register yourself as a lethal weapon, yet, can be prosecuted as one. Shouldn't firearms be handled in the same way?
