she keeps talking about her 35 years of experience. Experience doing what, being a woman? she wasn't in public office. She hasn't experience that counts.

What does that question have to do with the presidency?

Many people, especially if they're young, view the role of a president as that of an activist, "benevolent" dictator. They don't realize that it's supposed to just be the person who enforces the laws passed by Congress and deals with foreign policy. They don't want to hear about separation of powers or federalism.

Remember kids; It's not socialism or planned economy, it's economic justice!

And maximum liberty with limited government is really anarchy! Or fascism!

The older people need to start thinking about the younger generations, not themselves since they probably won't have to deal with the real impact, but the younger generations will. The baby boomers will be the death of us all :(

No offense to the smart baby boomers that are voting for Ron Paul :D

Do they actually still teach Civics and Government in schools? Im 32 and there was always classes that taught about the separation of powers, checks and balances, etc. Based on what Im seeing/hearing from the current MTV generation it sounds like they literally are not taught how government functions. Is this true?

The campaign didn't do a good job at reaching older voters. SO many people still do not know who Ron Paul is.

Yes this is a result of dumbed down teaching in our schools and constant playing
of media propaganda

all teaching that relates to politics or government is centered around the executive branch, more specifically the president. they dont teach about congress and the senate anymore, unless it's something in passing. hell, most schools dont even give the constitution test anymore.

They teach it, but I know a lot of young people respond with something along the lines of "I know that's what the Constitution SAYS, but it was written so long ago that it doesn't apply anymore, the ideas it was founded on wouldn't work nowadays, and we can and should ignore it for the greater good."
