Hello everyone, as you know we're making a Ron Paul Rocket to go into space and deliver a Ron Paul satellite. The satellite will broadcast an audio version of Ron Paul's
"The Revolution: A Manifesto".

I hope everyone signs up and gets excited about the Revolution entering the Space Age! The Blimp was soooo 20th century.

We pledge to send a satellite to space before the election. We choose to do this and other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard.

This will be a pretty open source project, so please, help out in any way you can!

Hit the blogs!

wow, a little overboard..?

so we really are kooks? ;)

What kind of propulsion will you use before you finish developing CRTE?

This is a good question. Our goal is to use Diet Coke and Mentos, however until then, we will use timed burn hobby rocket engines. We will use very big ones, and lots of them!

Good luck Rhys! Be sure and make that thing point at all our communications satellites. I don't think Fox owns the airwaves in outer space.

Tis a joke people ;). I am fairly certain the mentos and diet pepsi propulsion system would be waaay too expensive ;).

I don't know - carbonaiton technology has grown by leaps and bounds.....who knows what they are capable of. I bet this project could get government funding in some districts. Just make sure you request the funds in the districts that have coke and/or mentos factories......We can be the Space Snack Industrial Complex....we'll take over the world!!!

That's true. Plus, mentos and coke are much greener than rocket fuel.

Of course, those rocket fuel producing districts may be angry .... How about a government funded rocket fuel based soft drink development project! You know how corn syrup contributes to obesity.

Actually I'm working on a compression version of the engine. We should be able to use a relatively small amount of diet coke and mentos to get our ship into orbit.

Rhys don't you think this is not that easy as it looks at first glance...Do you know how many (few) countries in the world have this technology? or have rocket building expertise??

but I am not saying its Impossible, and it will be a lot easier in this way I think..

The eight nano satellites are built by universities and research institutions in Canada and Germany. The satellites weigh 3 kg to 16 kg, the total weight being about 50 kg

and they did it for FREE

it'll fly. it might blow up on the way, but that's the price to pay for progress.

The DC and mentos mixture will have to be carefully monitored but here is the design for the injectors.

Well, they have a great inspecific launch time of 2031..so we can only hope..lol. Enjoyed the video..I thin it's a hoot.
